INTRODUCTION
"Mediator" - one who intervenes between two, in order to restore peace

The necessity of a mediator is seen in the moral gulf between God & man
There is only one mediator
I.
Christ Jesus is the mediator
v.5
II. What Christ did to become the mediator v. 6
There was a gift - "gave"
The death of Christ was voluntary
It was a gift of love
Christ gave Himself
He was both the gift & the giver
He was both the priest & the sacrifice
Christ is the ransom
"Ransom" is a compound word
To set free
In the place of
He paid for man's sins in full, not just a down payment
