BECOMING A PERSON WITH VISION
Nehemiah 1:1-11
INTRODUCTION “Where there is no vision, the people perish…” Prov. 29:18
A clear vision, along with the courage to follow through, dramatically increases your chances of coming to the end of your life, looking back with a deep satisfaction and thinking “I did it. the Lord used me. I finished well. My life counted for the Kingdom of God.”
Without a clear vision, odds are you will come to the end of your life and wonder what you could have done – what you should have done. And like so many, you may wonder if your life really mattered at all.
Vision gives significance to the otherwise meaningless details of our lives. It’s not always about what we’re doing, but rather why we are doing it.
ILLUSTRATION - Nothing glamorous about filling bags with dirt. Big picture, the vision helped to save a city from flooding.
CHURCH’s VISION: …Build the Kingdom of God by being a church made of up of true disciples…that genuinely worship and are empowered by Christ through prayer in order to go and make disciples that will…
