And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Let me ask, how many things do God does or does not do through you in your day-today?
Metaphor:Tea Cup and Measuring cup
Bob Hoekstra
For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
We who serve the Lord under His new covenant of grace live with heavenly treasure in earthen vessels.
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Yes, we are "earthen vessels." We are frail, vulnerable, inadequate. We were originally fashioned from dust. "
We we are likened to "clay pots.
Remember that you have made me like clay;
and will you return me to the dust?
We are like common clay pots, much like the example I made with the tea cup and the measuring cup. This is humbling.
The will of God is that Christ would come to dwell in, and be expressed through, the earthen vessel of our humanity.
To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
God's plan is to put extraordinary heavenly treasure into ordinary earthen vessels, so that the attention will go to the contents, not to the containerMetaphor: hands extended and voice
Jesus could call up one 10,000 angels to accomplish his will but he doesn’t
Reach this far and my voice can go a little further, through the members of my body
every place you go this week is someplace jesus wants to be the only way he can get there is through you
Jesus chooses to only be in one place at a time
HE WANTS YOU
you need to receive it, walked after the spirit and wants you, why? because he still wants the same extension to continue proliferate this through the members of his body

We are like common clay pots, much like the example I made with the tea cup and the measuring cup. This is humbling.someone e who is broken and hurting insert story they need you to stand there and that person well may be you
Jesus wants to be there and he can if his people will let him fill them with his spirit not just there but with his presence purpose and power
somewhere this week insert story Jesus the way he wants to be there
fresh flow of the river of heaven
jesus wants to be where your going to be
enough water for a family of five for a week
For he knows our frame;
he remembers that we are dust.
It is also liberating to realize that we are vessels of clay. The Lord does not expect us to perform as though we were anything other than clay pots. He just wants us to be what a vessel is created to be-a container for its intended contents.
The intended contents of the vessel is a heavenly treasure.
Creator God, You have made me to be a vessel in whom Christ might dwell and be seen. Please remind me of this great plan. Help me to remember that the heavenly treasure is to be the focal point and the hope of my life, Amen.
Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work.
For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us.
Now in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver but also of wood and clay, some for honorable use, some for dishonorable. Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work.
So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.
then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.
The Potter metaphors are echoes back to this moment in Genesis.
that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
