Amazed once again

Jesus is not amazing. At least, not anymore..

Spreading the Gospel is the main thing that a christian has to do regarding his relationship with the “outsiders”

There are 3 main categories of relationship: with God, within the community and with others.

When it comes about the so-called “outsiders”, we have to talk. What shall we talk about? Biden, weather, new houses, etc.

NO! About Jesus… But … idk.... who wants to talk about Jesus? Not me!! What should I say about Him? … He died, He raised from the dead and now He’s preparing for me a nice spot in heaven.. So..

Yesterday, at the graduation party, how many of us did speak about Jesus and how many of us did speak about … us?

People are upset because of the: pastor, music director, president, weather, wife, husband, etc.

Nobody is upset because of his selfishness and sin! No one! Did you hear anyone saying: e bătaie de joc! Sunt atât de nepocăit! Did you hear anyone speaking like that? Of course not. We are fine...

Excuses regarding spreading the Gospel

1.What if I say something wrong?

How could you say something wrong about the most perfect Person in the Universe, who lives in you?

2.What if I don’t answer correctly?

How could you miss the right answer when the Spirit is guiding you?

3.What if I’m gonna fail?

Whoever lives in Jesus Christ is a winner! Always, no matter what the world says. If you did pray, if you made intercession, if you did everything you had to do, and finally you spoke it out - then your job is 100% complete. The results are not yours! But only the work.

! We are workers, not “resulters”

4.Why do we have to do this? Whoever wants to be saved, let him come. î

How do we know that we are not anymore amazed by Jesus? How does an amazed man behave?

Fake amazed people

Praying: Praised be Your Name, Lord Father God, for everything you’ve done for us!

Fake? When that person does not speak to his wife how amazing God is!

Singing: Worthy the Lamb who was slain, holy holy is Thee

Fake? When that person does not speak about the Lamb at work!

Fake? When that person does not think about God’s holiness when he/she is watching a movie!

Declaring: How great is our God!

Fake? When in his heart he doesn’t care about God’s glory to be spread in the whole world!

So, why don’t we speak about our amazing Jesus? He is amazing, but no one knows that actually! He is amazing, but we tell our friends how amazing our house is, but not how amazing our house that, Jesus is preparing for us, is.

Jesus is not amazing anymore because:

1.We love ourselves, and we did not - yet! - deny ourselves!

2.We stopped the work of the Holy Spirit: whoever is possessed by the Holy Spirit knows more and more about Jesus. Sees more and more only Jesus. When John saw Jesus (see the book of Revelation) he was amazed. How about us?

!We limited the work of the Holy Spirit: tongues and some other - few! - gifts.

! When Jesus was speaking about the Holy Spirit, He said mainly two things: The Holy Spirit will reveal things about Me and He will empower you to speak about Me!

3.We take too easy the matter of holiness. When the angels see God, they say: Holy, Holy, Holy! (Isaiah 6) When we see God, we say: I’m ok and You’re nice.

! When we see a holy men of God we say: wow, that man lives the holiness! Why then, when we see Jesus, we are not even more amazed?

4. We read the Bible with dirty eyes. Whoever reads about Jesus is amazed by Jesus. If not, he/she is not reading the right Bible.

5.We are too rich. We have too many things. We cannot see Jesus because of the things He gave us! AUCH!

So, what shall we do?

Deny yourself!

Let the Spirit work in you!

Live the holiness and admire God’s purity!

Clean your eyes when you read the Bible. Be amazed when you read!

Turn your eyes upon Jesus!

Let Holy Spirit reveal Jesus. As the Spirit did to John, in Revelation. Then you’ll be amazed by Jesus. Again. And we all - amazed by Jesus - we will spread the AMAZING GRACE.
