Great multitudes followed Him and He did many miracles of healing after the Word came forth. He desires mercy not judgment.
“Do not judge, or you too will be judged.
For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?
How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?
You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
Do Not Judge Or You Too Will Be Judged
Do Not Judge Or You Too Will Be Judged
We are to judge people’s fruit but not their heart.
A person with a poor self image judges others to bring them down to their level. WASTED ENERGY
Better to judge ourselves
But if we were more discerning with regard to ourselves, we would not come under such judgment.
The Measure We Use Will Be Measured To Us
The Measure We Use Will Be Measured To Us
The law of sowing and reaping says what you plant will be reaped.
People judge others by their actions and themselves by their intentions.
Example - person who is late.
BLESSED ARE THE MERCIFUL
I needed and need a lot of mercy. It’s why I give it so much.
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
FORGIVEN MUCH LOVES MUCH
Our righteousness is as filthy rags.
All fall short.
All sin at its root is ugly. Our ugly isn't better than their ugly.
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR PLANK FIRST
PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR PLANK FIRST
When we own up to our own problems, our holier-than-thou attitude disappears, leaving compassionate honesty.
We remember how difficult it is for us to change.
Mirror Principle - What I see in others I see in me.
First person I need to deal with is me.
Honestly speaking, the person who causes most of my problems is ME.
First person I need to get along with is me.
Cultivate an ability to laugh at yourself
Your best is your best and that's all God's asks for.
First person I need to take responsibility for is me
Be wise as a serpent but gentle as a dove. Healthy boundaries.
Forbearing with peoples weaknesses.
Other Verses To Know
Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
