We cannot achieve all the Lord has planned for us unless unless we learn to get beyond.

The first thing we must get beyond is emotionalism.

It is said “The Method of real Bible study is to see what all the Scripture says about all the Scripture. This is the difference between solid, sane, serious, sound, sensible Bible study and this erratic, foolish, modern, emotional nonsense that passes off as Bible study.

I love to be here. And I love to laugh. And I love to enjoy the Lord Jesus. And I’m not ashamed to shed a tear. But, my dear friend, emotionalism is not the answer. Your emotions are the shallowest part of your nature. Salvation is the deepest work of God. God doesn’t do His deepest work in the shallowest part.

What does the scripture say about emotions?
Emotions are not bad. We just need to understand when we are moving from emotions to emotionalism. Jesus had emotions:
Matthew 9:36 KJV 1900
36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.
Mark 3:4–5 KJV 1900
4 And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace. 5 And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.
