Q: Do you get the Holy Spirit when you are baptized?
A: Important to realize that the Holy Spirit is a person, not a thing to be gotten. When a person is baptized, He is baptized into a relationship with each person of the Godhead (Mt 28:19). He now has the Spirit dwelling in him (1 Cor 6:19). The Spirit dwells in the Christian in the same way Christ does (Col 1:27). He dwells by faith (Eph 3:17)
