The beauty of a story is its ability to voice the inner thoughts of the reader and then give them a sense of anticipation as to how the story will end. It drops hints that will make us believe there is a bright side at the end of the story but every now and then you get to the end of a story and find what we call a cliffhanger leaving us wanting to know what happens so therefore we must wait for the sequel to find out what happens next. This is what makes a book a must-read this is what makes a book go viral because if you can start a conversation in a book club or dialogue amongst blog threads the interest in this story goes up and before you know it you have a best seller because we just can’t get enough of this story. Tell somebody next to you I have a story to tell. In this story there must be a protagonist and an antagonist, a plot and my favorite part I hope you get excited there must always be a climax, and some of you have been just going through the day to day plot but If you believe God is about to bring you to the climax of your story can you tell somebody things are about to turn for me!
The gospel of Jesus Christ is still the greatest story ever told and it’s the story we must share with the masses as to how we came into salvation but there are some aspects of his story that make his gospel more relatable when you consider where he came from I’m talking about how he came through two different bloodlines just like us, it would make sense to say he came from God and we will just leave it there but when you realize he came through the blood line of a liar named Abraham, who even though God called him to be the father a faith had faithless moments and because of this he got stuck with baby mama drama and a child that will always live to try and destroy his legacy, and some of us in here had moments where because we didn’t believe and we tried to make things happen on our own and ended up in a constant battle that we could’ve avoided had we just believed God, he comes through the bloodline with a nasty woman named Hagar who didn’t mind doing something strange for the change, he comes through the bloodline with a man by the name of David who couldn’t keep his hands to himself and instead of owning up to his responsibilities he became a murder, he comes through the bloodline with a man named Jacob who felt like the only way to get ahead in life was by being a trickster, but the other side of his bloodline isn’t as long, and when you look at your life you’ll realize there are skeletons hanging from your family tree, there are some issues you deal with that started before you there are some struggles and habits that you inherited not by choice but I thank god that when the angel spoke to Mary he informed her that what she is carrying is of the Holy Ghost in other words don’t worry about your sinful bloodline because there is a bloodline that was in effect before the foundation of the world because he is the lamb slain before the foundation of the world so before there was ever a sin there was blood to cover it before there was a problem tell somebody there was a solution if you have a problem you can’t seem to shake the blood of Jesus is able to go generations back and forgive the sins of the father so that the sons and daughters don’t have to suffer the consequences therefore you don’t have the right to remain stuck in your situation because there is a fountain that’s filled with blood and all you’ve got to do is plunge beneath the flood and sin looses all its guilty stain it has no power over you it has no say so in your life because my bloodline has been cleansed by the blood if you’re thankful the blood has never lost its power clap your hands and give god praise!
So a great story must answer the questions what happened, when did it happen, where did it happen, why did it happen, who did it and who did they do it to? We all have our own who what when where and whys in our story, I can tell you what happened to me, where it happened, when it happened and who was there, but im finally coming into a revelation of why it happened you see there are some things that must take place in order to give the story some dynamic, if the whole story was filled with good tidings and joy I would be done by chapter 2 but because tension and drama is rising therefore im interested in seeing how this is going to turn out, and God has to take us through some plot twists where what use to happen…didn’t, who use to bail you out didn’t, who use to call and encourage is now busy, people who used to pick up when you called now go straight to voicemail, the love you once had is now gone, you dont know where your next meal is coming, you got a light bill due and at the same time yo baby need a pair of shoes, and youre asking God why are you taking me through, I do what I can to live right, pay my tithes and serve in the Church and while youre complaining God is saying thats a good set up for any story, now lets see how you make it out of this one, lets see how much stronger you get after this, lets see how you view me after this dont forget he’s the same God that was glad that Lazarus died, he said im glad for your sake that he’s dead so that you may believe and now they dont just know him as Jesus who can feed 5000 with 2 fish and two loaves of bread but their faith is expanded and now they see him as the resurrection and the life, some of you have played it safe and missed out and some of your greatest revelations because you weren’t willing to survive the conflict but tell somebody learn how to suffer, Paul said I glory in my affliction so that the power of God may come on me, there is an exchange that takes place when you suffer its called glory, for Paul said I reckon the sufferings youre dealing with now and not even worthy to be compared to the glory thats coming out of this, he said for our light affliction is just for a moment but its working in me a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory and if you know you’ve been through enough for glory to come into your life I need you tell 3 ppl I had to survive for this!
Genesis 3 Bible Study…
Deal with the root - the origin of your disfunction ( word curse, generation curse, abuse at whatever age it happened)
Deal with the Stem - the individual that carried the nutrients from the root directly to you ( cunning partner, boss, spouse or child)
Heal the fruit (Romans 7:25, 8:1) So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind am serving the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh the law of sin. 8:1 Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
Once you realize that your flesh will not give up its need for pleasure, you have to strengthen your spirit to be able to drown out your flesh.
But why does God seem so committed to our deliverance?
Could it be that God has a work that needs to be done and he needs a vessel in the Earth that can handle the assignment and as long as you shy away from your deliverance the longer ot takes to get you ready for your moment, tell somebody get to your moment.
This is why we must commit to the process. I know its getting intense/ getting hard but there is a set time for your moment and God is increasing the pressure to get you into place, tell somebody he’s committed to me. It is the process that increase our knowledge of the God we are serving because you cannot properly represent a kingdom you are unfamiliar with. Its the faithfulness of God that sustains you in your process because thats the only way you can survive the furnace of affliction the he uses to choose you, he puts you in crucial situations just to show you the only way you can survive is with my help, this is how Paul comes to the realization that i have learned how to be rich and be in need, how to be full and hungry, not because I am so great and mightly but I finally came to the realization that I can do all things through Christ that strong enought to carry me through, thats what your process is about, its about realizing that no matter how wealthy you are, no matter howstrong you are, you cannot do this without God, this is why heal desires to heal you.
But this is hard when your surroundings cater to your disability…
Here is the gospel written by John chapter 5 city in the setting of bethesda an infirmary having 5 porches where people of Jerusalem come together to be protected from the rain, but the issue here is that the demographic of these people are not the common citizens but rather those who have issues, they are the sick, blind, lame and paralzyzed people of the city and they come together and wait for something to happen i must ask the question how are we expecting to get better if we are laying in a place not suitable for the deliverance we need? How do we stay in relationships that feed our lusts and not our deliverance, how do we stay cycles that feed our insecurities and not our deliverance, AT SOME POINT SOMEONE SHOULD CHANGE THE CONVERSATION...
Who’s going to use their voice and shout out, ‘why are we still here’? Why did you give him a key, why did you give her your password so soon, why do you keep responding to that DM, when will we learn that cycles don’t end by themselves, but they must be ended with a seed and if the word of God is seed I got a word for your cycle and that is the whom the son sets free, is surely free indeed, tell somebody break that cycle.
What is their cycle? There cycle is waiting for an angel to come down and trouble the water once a year and who ever gets to the water.
