Round 3: Add Name/Clap along with previous

Round 4: Switch Name/Clap

Round 5: Add Jump/Dance along with previous

Round 6: Switch Jump/Dance

This game may initially seem easy but the more focused you were with DOING the less focused you were with LISTENING

Is there a specific place that you struggle to listen?

I sat next to someone in Spanish class my Sophomore year...

There are places in our lives that we struggle to listen… So what do we do?

Lets look at David

David is Chosen as King:

A young, unassuming boy was NOT overlooked by God and chosen to be the FUTURE political leader of God’s chosen people

David Defeats Goliath:

Saul Gets Jealous:

Everyone LOVED David and Saul grew jealous and tried to kill him

David Waited and God Listened:

At the right time, God’s promise was fulfilled and David became king!

Davids path to God’s promise was not what he wanted or planned… But during that 15 year waiting period, David never stopped talking to God.

Psalm 57:1-5

(While he was running for his life)

(1) — If David did not recognize where he was, he would have died — Self awareness is VERY important

(2-3) — He is actively reminding himself of the truth. He is not directly experiencing that “refuge,” so he constantly reminds himself

(4-5) — His situations are dire but he KNOWS his God is BIGGER
