Titus 3:1–2 NASB95

Remind them to be subject to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good deed, to malign no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing every consideration for all men.

Romans 13:1-7 and 1 Peter 2:13-17, clearly line out our responsibilities as Christians and the obedience to the authority God has place over us.

Acts 5:29 NASB95

But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. First Amendment - Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. • Daniel, refuses to eat the kings meat because its unclean and against what God had instructed. Daniel 1:8

• Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refuse to bow down to an idol and faces a fiery furnace, Daniel 3.

• Jesus tells the Pilate that he has no authority but what was given to him by God. John 19:11

For we also once were foolish ourselves, disobedient, deceived, enslaved to various lusts and pleasures, spending our life in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another.

But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior,
