Theme – Raising End Time children
· God uses supernatural strength in the last days for an end time anointing push in order to save the world.
Throughout history, God equipped certain children with extraordinary power at strategic times to save the people of their day.

The Elijah Age = Special children are born at special times

Example of Samson and the Nazarite Vox
Judges 13:1–7 NLT
1 Again the Israelites did evil in the Lord’s sight, so the Lord handed them over to the Philistines, who oppressed them for forty years. 2 In those days a man named Manoah from the tribe of Dan lived in the town of Zorah. His wife was unable to become pregnant, and they had no children. 3 The angel of the Lord appeared to Manoah’s wife and said, “Even though you have been unable to have children, you will soon become pregnant and give birth to a son. 4 So be careful; you must not drink wine or any other alcoholic drink nor eat any forbidden food. 5 You will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and his hair must never be cut. For he will be dedicated to God as a Nazirite from birth. He will begin to rescue Israel from the Philistines.” 6 The woman ran and told her husband, “A man of God appeared to me! He looked like one of God’s angels, terrifying to see. I didn’t ask where he was from, and he didn’t tell me his name. 7 But he told me, ‘You will become pregnant and give birth to a son. You must not drink wine or any other alcoholic drink nor eat any forbidden food. For your son will be dedicated to God as a Nazirite from the moment of his birth until the day of his death.’ ”

The Elijah Age – From Samson to John the Baptist

Samson symbolized another Nazarite who would appear on the world scene hundreds of years later.
John the Baptist foretold
Malachi 4:5–6 NLT
5 “Look, I am sending you the prophet Elijah before the great and dreadful day of the Lord arrives. 6 His preaching will turn the hearts of fathers to their children, and the hearts of children to their fathers. Otherwise I will come and strike the land with a curse.”

Similarities Between Samson and John the Baptist:

The Elijah Age is: ENERGIZED by God

· In both cases, the wives (of even godly men) were infertile
· a miracle was required (Judges 13:3; Luke 1:7)
· The Elijah Age will empower the Church to a miraculous level.
Luke 1:6–7 NLT
6 Zechariah and Elizabeth were righteous in God’s eyes, careful to obey all of the Lord’s commandments and regulations. 7 They had no children because Elizabeth was unable to conceive, and they were both very old.
Personal application: God still does miracles!
· Don’t take it personally if you seem to be doing everything right and are still not experiencing the results that you had hoped for. Your breakthrough could be just around the corner!
· God can energize the areas of your life that seem to be dormant.

The Elijah Age is: IDENTIFIED by God

Angel spoke
In both cases, the angel of the Lord spoke clearly to the parents (Judges 13:7; Luke 1:13)
Luke 1:13–14 NLT
13 But the angel said, “Don’t be afraid, Zechariah! God has heard your prayer. Your wife, Elizabeth, will give you a son, and you are to name him John. 14 You will have great joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth,

God is Faithful to His Promises!

· To Moms – God often specially blesses the children of those who have waited a long time to have children and have thought it was impossible, such as Elizabeth with John the Baptist.
· To all – if you have been waiting on a promise from God, stay in faith and keep waiting because God is faithful to fulfill what he has promised!
· God calls all His children to do great things for the Kingdom!

The Elijah Age is: SANCTIFIED to God

· Nazarite Vow
· Both children were set apart for God from birth (Judges 13:7; Luke 1:14–17)
· kept clean, protected from the filth of the world
· Sober (Judges 13:7; Luke 1:15)
· Protect kids from the Internet! Do not use the Media as a babysitter!
Luke 1:15 NLT
15 for he will be great in the eyes of the Lord. He must never touch wine or other alcoholic drinks. He will be filled with the Holy Spirit, even before his birth.

The Elijah Age is: BAPTIZED in God

The Spirit of the Lord came upon both of them from a very early moment in their lives (Judges 13:25; Luke 1:15).
· The third person of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit, was clearly at work in the lives of these two sons:
· The Holy Spirit gave Samson endless energy and boundless PHYSICAL strength the defeat the NATURAL enemies of his day.
· Likewise, the Holy Spirit gave John the Baptist incredible SPIRITUAL strength to confront and speak truth to the powers of his day.
Even from an early age:
· The Holy Spirit caused Samson to be STIRRED
· The Holy Spirit caused John the Baptist to leap for joy!
Mary Greets Elizabeth
Luke 1:41–45 NLT
41 At the sound of Mary’s greeting, Elizabeth’s child leaped within her, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. 42 Elizabeth gave a glad cry and exclaimed to Mary, “God has blessed you above all women, and your child is blessed. 43 Why am I so honored, that the mother of my Lord should visit me? 44 When I heard your greeting, the baby in my womb jumped for joy. 45 You are blessed because you believed that the Lord would do what he said.”

The Elijah Age is: AUTHORIZED by God

· Parents have been given a great task and responsibility to raise children for the Lord.
· When both mom’s realized God’s assignment and blessing for them – they worshipped
· Manoah and his wife fell with their faces to the ground…
· Elizabeth worshipped the Lord (Luke 1:25)
Godly children come from godly homes
· Parents are to have a lifestyle of loving and worshipping and serving God
· The responsibility of nurturing and caring for godly children rests solely upon the shoulders of godly parents – not the church, the school system, or the government

The Elijah Age Does great things for God and His People

Mark 1:5 NLT
5 All of Judea, including all the people of Jerusalem, went out to see and hear John. And when they confessed their sins, he baptized them in the Jordan River.

John the Baptist = forerunner for Jesus – the Ultimate Nazarene!

John 1:29 NLT
29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

Closing – YOUR child is born for these times

· God will give our generation extra strength because of both the severity of the times and the lateness of the hour.
· The Elijah Age of our day is to Receive God’s power to take Jesus to OUR World!
