Pr. 6:20-31

20 My son, keep thy father’s commandment,

And forsake not the law of thy mother:

21 Bind them continually upon thine heart,

And tie them about thy neck.

22 When thou goest, it shall lead thee;

When thou sleepest, it shall keep thee;

And when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.

23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light;

And reproofs of instruction are the way of life:

24 To keep thee from the evil woman,

From the flattery of the tongue of a strange woman.

25 Lust not after her beauty in thine heart;

Neither let her take thee with her eyelids.

26 For by means of a whorish woman a man is brought to a piece of bread:

And the adulteress will hunt for the precious life.

27 Can a man take fire in his bosom,

And his clothes not be burned?

28 Can one go upon hot coals,

And his feet not be burned?

29 So he that goeth in to his neighbour’s wife;

Whosoever toucheth her shall not be innocent.

30 Men do not despise a thief, if he steal

To satisfy his soul when he is hungry;

31 But if he be found, he shall restore sevenfold;

He shall give all the substance of his house.

Following sound wisdom will bring a blessed Life
John 13:13–17 KJV 1900
Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him. If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.
Mark 8:34–38 KJV 1900
And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
What is the bible saying?
The bible is telling us that we need to make sure we teach our children and that they follow the training
Proverbs 22:1–6 KJV 1900
A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, And loving favour rather than silver and gold. The rich and poor meet together: The Lord is the maker of them all. A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: But the simple pass on, and are punished. By humility and the fear of the Lord Are riches, and honour, and life. Thorns and snares are in the way of the froward: He that doth keep his soul shall be far from them. Train up a child in the way he should go: And when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Why? Because we want the best for our children
How do we do this?
1. we must allow Jesus to live inside of us
John 15:5 KJV 1900
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
We must be full of the spirit.
Acts 1:8 KJV 1900
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
We must be lead by the spirit
Romans 8:14 KJV 1900
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
We must be subject
Romans 13:1–5 KJV 1900
Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.
