Application

Reconciliation is modeled for us by God’s sacrificial forgiveness

Leviticus 1
Leviticus 1:5 ESV
5 Then he shall kill the bull before the Lord, and Aaron’s sons the priests shall bring the blood and throw the blood against the sides of the altar that is at the entrance of the tent of meeting.
It is the priest who actually makes the sacrifice.
Hebrews 5:1 ESV
1 For every high priest chosen from among men is appointed to act on behalf of men in relation to God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins.

Forgiveness is modeled for us by God’s enduring atonement

Matthew 18:15-35
When the master forgave the debt, He forgave all FUTURE inadequacies.

Grace is modeled for us by God’s infinite generosity

Hebrews 4:14-16
Hebrews 4:16 ESV
16 Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
