THE HEART OF EVE

Good morning church and Happy Mothers day to all the mamma's out there. Today is that one day of the year that we honor you and thank you for everything that you do. I personally think you need about 6 special days a year on top of receiving honor every day.

But that is me and the powers that be understood us men would go bankrupt if that was the case. Cause you know those kids are broke. Ain’t none of them got any money.

Today I want to talk to you ladies about your extraordinary design. God knew what He was doing when he made the Woman. But there is a war today against you lady. And at the end of the day the war was initiated by the devil. Because that serpent understands that when you begin to embrace your identity, when you begin to love your femininity, and quite trying to be something that you are not, man your love for life will skyrocket, your love for your kids and husband will grow exponentially, and your love for yourself (in a good way will know no bounds)

God’s Word tells us that the Man is the head of the Household. And he is, or he is supposed to be. But while the man is the Head of the house the Woman is the heart of the house.

Dear woman I want to tell you that there has been a war waged on your heart, and because you are the heart and not the head in some ways the attack can become much more brutal, it can become much more brutal

Where the man is tasked with Provision and Protection for the home, The Woman is tasked with the intimacy of the home. A man can build a house but only the woman can make a home. Men can do that to an extent, but not like a woman can

And I can speak to that with absolute certainty. Before Stacey and I got married, back in the days when it was just Gage and myself. We had a house, a decent house.... But you could tell that it was a single mans house. We weren’ real messy, but our front room was yes a living room, but it was also a basketball court, we had a little nerf goal mounted about ten foot in the air, it was also had a football field, a wrestling arena, by the way we only had to replace the windows a couple of times, oh it also had a pillow fight arena, where the weapons of choice were the couch cushions. Half the time it smelled musky because of dirty socks that got tossed wherever.

But when my wife came along, something happended, and Gage and I weren’t happy about it off the bat, but our bb goal, yeah it got took down, the couch cushions no longer were used as weapons fo war, and forget about any thing that resembled wrestling or football..

What happened? I can tell you what happened: a woman happened. Do you know what happened when my wife moved in? She turned our house into a home. it took some getting used to, but can I tell you we learned to love it. Immediately a woman's touch changed the feeling of our home.

She began to take down all my masculine art, and she began to apply her feminine touches all around the place. All of a sudden there were pleasant smells from candles, there were decorative pieces that began to define spaces.... And do you know what it did to our masculine hearts? it began to soften us, she made our home something more than just to shelter from the elements of the night, but she made it a place where a family could shelter in from the harsh cold nights of the soul!

She added a spiritual warmth to our other wise cold home

Nurture of the Home.

Today ladies I want to give you permission to be ladies. Because your place in the home, your responcibility in the home, and your love in the home is

Now that is a very important point, probably my whole point this morning.... Why did God create man and Woman? Why did God not create just man… and make man able to reproduce by himself

The head of the home is the Father but the heart of the home is the mother

Genesis 1:26–27 ESV

26 Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
