Today is Mother’s Day.

Mother are really good at see who their children are called to be.
I have heard many times in life people say my mom is the one who believed in me. She is the one who kept encouraging me, praying for me, and believing in me.

Marry knew who Jesus was before anyone else there did.
Father was teaching Jesus a lesson that His mother could partner with God on His time as well as calling out who Jesus is to others.
Jesus learned from His mom how to call out people and the right time to do so.
We are going to look at a story of this to another famous woman in the bible.
Jesus healed Mary who was called Magdalene before she was delivered.
Play Video Now I am completely different.
When we are called by or true name in the way God created us in, we are changed forever.
Isaiah 43:1 NASB95
1 But now, thus says the Lord, your Creator, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel, “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine!
This scripture is one that is on my mind a lot especially after this Chosen series.
This is what Jesus is up to these days. He is calling each of us by name and we are His.
A name is more than a label. A name in the way the bible talks about is a character, a nature, a way, and an authority.
1 Peter 2:9 NASB95
9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
Example:
When people ask, do you go by John or Jonathan, I tell them my mom says she named be Jonathan.
She calls me by name. Not only does she call me by the name they named me, she treats me like the man Jesus calls me. She treats me like that true name before I act like that name.
Before I even earned the right of the honor of that name she treated me that way.
I believe that I have become more of that name’s character because of that declaration.

Closing:
Lets be like all the moms out there that call their children by their true name.
Lets seek for new ways to call each-other by the names that Jesus calls us.
We are Loved, We are His.
We are valuable bought with His life.
Jesus calls us by name, and we are His. For Mother's Day, we celebrate moms who have done this for us, called us by our true names.
When you say someones name let Jesus give you insight as to what that person’s name means to Him.
Call them him or her that name with that meaning in mind.
