What Does Appreciation Means

To place a high value on

To regard with great honour or respect

To grasp the nature, worth, quality or significance of

Before we can learn to appreciate the Holy Spirit I believe it’s helpful know more about Him. [analogy: ABS]. If He is working in me I need to know what He is all about.

He will help you live a fruitful life. He offers strength, comfort, and guidance.

He is God’s way of dwelling with us today [God has always made a way to do this]. The Holy Spirit is part of the way God is going to transform us from the inside out and get us to glory.

Who Is The Holy Spirit?

“But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.

Omnipresent - Ps 139:7-8

Omnipotent - Job 33:4; Matt 12:28

Omniscience - 1 Cor 2:10

The following verses shows that the inspired writers represented the Holy Spirit as God Acts 5:3-4

What does it mean to “appreciate” Him?

If we know Him more we can appreciate Him more.

Do not insult Him - Heb 10:29

“after receiving the knowledge of truth” (When was this?) - vs. 26

“How much severer punishment. . . he has insulted ” - vs 29.

[this word means insolent, someone who shows no respect for something of great worth]

All three statements carry the same force as they are parallel to each other.

Do not resist Him - Acts 7:51

This word suggests something more than the insult of Heb 10:29. It describes one that actively opposes God
