What is the Most Important part of our Faith

Saul Hid Himself From God Because of the People

1 Samuel 15:24–26 NIV
Then Saul said to Samuel, “I have sinned. I violated the Lord’s command and your instructions. I was afraid of the men and so I gave in to them. Now I beg you, forgive my sin and come back with me, so that I may worship the Lord.” But Samuel said to him, “I will not go back with you. You have rejected the word of the Lord, and the Lord has rejected you as king over Israel!”
He let his love for people be greater than his love for God

Jonah Hid From The Calling God Gave Him

Jonah 1:1–4 NIV
The word of the Lord came to Jonah son of Amittai: “Go to the great city of Nineveh and preach against it, because its wickedness has come up before me.” But Jonah ran away from the Lord and headed for Tarshish. He went down to Joppa, where he found a ship bound for that port. After paying the fare, he went aboard and sailed for Tarshish to flee from the Lord. Then the Lord sent a great wind on the sea, and such a violent storm arose that the ship threatened to break up.
He was A Prophet of God and instead of listening what God wanted He chose what he desired. Because he did not want the grace of God to fall on his enemies He ran from God. Such horrid Selfishness!

Pharisees Believed They Followed God But Instead they Crucified Him As Blasphemer

Matthew 26:64–68 NIV
“You have said so,” Jesus replied. “But I say to all of you: From now on you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.” Then the high priest tore his clothes and said, “He has spoken blasphemy! Why do we need any more witnesses? Look, now you have heard the blasphemy. What do you think?” “He is worthy of death,” they answered. Then they spit in his face and struck him with their fists. Others slapped him and said, “Prophesy to us, Messiah. Who hit you?”
The same God they claimed to worship and revere was sentenced to death and respected by them. They let their traditions be their guiding light of faith!

What is God’s Desire

John 4:23 NIV
Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.
God desire is for someone who seeks him out with his entire heart! Just as David did! He desires does who seek him earnestly and desire to be with him.
Psalm 27:4 NIV
One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.
It is one who puts Christ first above all other things and themselves. Someone who is willing to throw everything away and listen to God’s will above everything else in life
