Psalm 1

What to Avoid

Many of the voices telling us what to do are godless.

We should not listen to those who consider the cross foolishness.

Listening to the wrong advice leads us to the wrong actions.

What counsel are you listening to and where is it taking you?

What to Delight in

We cannot overstate the importance of the Word of God.

Scripture must not be cold for us but rather our delight.

If God’s Word is our delight, the practice will take care of itself.

As we delight in His Word, we can count on God’s blessing.

What the Blessing is

We are blessed in knowing that we have been planted by God.

God continues to cultivate and provide for us in all seasons of life.

The wicked have no root and are blown around in disappointment.

The greatest blessing we have is an eternal relationship with God rather than judgment.
