Getting There And Staying There

Notes
Transcript
Victory is just the beginning of what God wants to do in our lives. The goal of victory is occupation. It is only after occupation that we can have peace.
Occupational forces enforce the victory. Satan is a defeated foe but we must keep him defeated. He uses deception to talk us out of our identity and question our God.
To enforce victory, we must battle on two fronts, soul and spirit.
People don’t know the hell you went through to get to where you are. Most couldn’t handle half of what you went through. It’s why we are a little bit radical about Jesus.
We must maintain our victory and deliverance.

1. Spiritual Realm

Demons want to live out their personality in you.
Where did the demons go? Mark 5:11-13
They are subject to Jesus and believers speaking in His name by the power of the Holy Spirit (Matt 8:16-17; 12:28; Luke 10:17)
We must give them no place (Eph 4:27)
Ephesians 6:10–12 KJV 1900
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Matthew 12:43–45 KJV 1900
When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.
Empty - lacking God's presence
Swept - sin removed but lacking humility
Garnished - looking good but lacking charity

2. Soul -

The word psuche, which is also the root word for psychology. Our soul is our personality
James 1:13–15 KJV 1900
Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
I can’t be tempted by what has been crucified.
Lust given “opportunity” brings forth sin, which leads to death.
Satan makes it sound good.
2 Corinthians 10:3–5 KJV 1900
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
While Paul was facing specific verbal attacks from local opponents, more generally the meaning of the “strongholds” that are “raised against the knowledge of God” is any type of argument or concept that “exalts itself above the knowledge of God, thereby giving the devil a secure place of influence in an individual’s thought-life.” The Three battlegrounds
“obedience of Christ”
A person who feels unworthy may have had someone make them feel or tell them they were not good enough. This created a hurt in the soul that give demonic spirits access to the person.
In Healing Streams we call them UnGodly beliefs.
Truth is...
We are created a little lower than God. Psalm 8:3-4
Man will judge angels - 1 Cor. 6:3
We are called to live like Kings - Deut. 17:18-19
Faith come by hearing and hearing - Romans 10:17
We decide our destiny - Josh 1:7-8
How do we fight?
Worship, songs we sing get into our spirits, even more than messages we hear.
Spend our time in prayer
Memorize Scripture.
