So far in our study of Hebrews we have seen that Jesus is greater than the angels because He is both fully God and fully human. Where chapter 1 focused on His deity, chapter 2 is more concerned with His humanity. In speaking of the incarnation the question often arises as to why Jesus had to become a human - couldn't God's purposes have been achieved in a less painful, humiliating way? Heb. 2:1-18 answers this question by showing how it was both fitting and necessary. Sermon begins at 24:00.
