Just went to you guys. Hit me up the back. The back, good morning and I can see this beautiful smiles. Good to be here until you guys are really starting to be here. I've got an exciting message to share with you guys this morning. Stephanie speaking to me, and it speaks to you as well. But before we do this, let's bow our heads and invite the Holy Spirit. Father in Heaven. I want to thank you so much. You send the Holy Spirit as well, and I was feeling to thank you so much that you are here present, and I just pray the Lord that may you humble me as you did this week? Look at me, you speak. Give me the worst of him or Lord, please speak to me and speak through me. Lord for there is nothing. Good that comes from me about Lord, may be your work and maybe you will learn. That is glorified and that we get to experience you and learn about you in this holy book that you have provided for us in Jesus name. Amen. Amen. All right guys, we are going to turn straight into our verse for today. If you have your Bibles or if you have your electronic Bibles. We're looking at the book of looking at the book of Ephesians.

All right.

read the book of

chapter 4. Ephesians chapter 4.

Acordes de the sermon went today. His cry to his call. His cry through his call. K describes his call Ephesians Tampa Florida. And we are going to read from verse 1. Converse. 16 K and I'll just be going through this.

As a prisoner for the Lord. And I ordered you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Ik urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. No one opposed. Their we can't. I just got three points, three points. My first point here, Is looking at the corny. OK, Google King at the concert to the person. I can't say I have a cooling.

All right, man. That's great conviction. Great conviction in your voices. All right. I have a calling ignifica nights in a role that you were called to do. Over slick back to step into a brand new role. Something you've never done before something that you weren't equipped.

Were some of the things that go through your mind. What's all the things that you worried about? Set. Hoping to not fail. Probably trying to impress.

What, what do you usually go through win-win-win, when you were placed in a role that you are called to? And is this the cooling that Paul is looking at? Is this a cooling that Paul is talking about? He ain't calling you know first thing I thought of my Mom and Dad my mom and dad you know and I can always tell me why my mom and dad will call me into the room or to a job. Anyone been in that situation. So when Mom and Dad calls me they say they call me son. Sun. Yep, that's right. Son. Answer me that pitch is owed to me. It's already saying everything is all good, everything is okay, yes Mother. Yes. How can I hope you come here? Son. Or there's another calling that with a pictures of it, kind of gets me a bit on edge.

Where are you? Over there, dad. But I did that to me. Immediately your hair stick up. I need start shaking and stop waiting. Place in my mind, get really worried. And yeah, when I get there. Yep. Just as I thought.

What is this? The cooling that Paul is talking about he has caused you or call you on the phone to see how you doing? Is this the kind of talk about what I think about this calling the next thing I thought about when I was when I took up nursing for the first time learning and and one thing I had to do was a needle, anybody love

Gary. Oh, my goodness, whenever I had to give a needle for the first time and I had to pinch, visvis fix Punjab skin. I just have to pinch it. And then they say, it's all in the wrist, but the way they show it really freaked me out because they're all in the wrist. And I'm thinking, wow, I've never done this before. And I am a patient. Isn't that great? And I thought maybe I'm not really equipped for this. I'm like, man, God what are you calling me? I didn't go cause we to Ministry. No way. This is not for me. Yeah, he's called me and I'm thinking Still thinking why me Lord? Why me? What is this? According to where you get this, I'm cold to be this to do that. Now, I'm leaving my phone. On purpose.

What I realized this? Is that not the calling that Paul is talking about it? What's amazing about this calling? Okay, everybody say calling Calling. And what's amazing about the schooling is that in the creek this word calling his class, a sirloin steak places places. This word, calling beautiful, places verse 1 as a prisoner for the Lord, in our urge, you to live a life worthy of the calling. You have received this word cliche mean that God declares worthy of the calling, which he has commanded to be given because you have a cooling according to my status as God, you are worthy. To have this calling. Great, you're worthy. And then this word also means they are fit to obtain the blessings promised in the car. So you don't just called, oh my God, comes with something, it comes with blessings. What is this blessing one of these blessings that does cooling comes with the life of Jesus? That we are saved from the penalty of death. Amen. We are safe from that. The blessing that we get to experience the fullness of life, right now, we can't experience Heaven. Find out, because of Jesus. Amen. Because of Jesus. Now, we sitting right next to God and he is out prayers because of Jesus calling, and calling comes with blessings and love in Romans 11 vs 11, verse 29. It says for God's gifts gifts and his cold can never be what No, take backsies. Guys. You are cold and he is giving you gifts and blessings that he does not take back.

It's amazing. You been called by God. This amazing calling to live. To live, as crested. And sir. way of living of, A life worthy of the score. but what I find is that many Christians live a life, Vicky that is worthy of the call but they're still trapped in their own spiritual prisons.

Not living out these promises still living in the life. Thing in the Life, indulging. Not wanting to give haughtily the life to Christ.

it stopped today because Paul is encouraging, encouraging encouraging, The church here in Ephesus

Do not waste this life that we we're going to explore this more. Let's have a look at verse 2. Let's look at verse 2. 66 be completely humble and gentle. Be patience. Be patience bearing with one another in love, make every effort to keep the unity of the spirit through the bond of Peace. There is one body and one Spirit just as you were called to one hope when you were called one Lord, One Faith, one baptism, one God. And Father of all who is over and through old and in all

Growing United. Growing United says, unity in the spirit and the way I see this.

Unity in the spirit. It's the spirit creates the unity. What we need to put an effort. In making it work with one another humbly to be humble. Be gentle bearing with one another in love. How we see each other? How we treat each other? you know, immaturity and unhealthy things Christians. Like to cause division. Intentions, with other Christians. Proverbs 28 can bring off the time.

Thank you. Can you read that out loud, please. I didn't bring my glasses to read out loud.

Can we get an amen? Amen. Amen. The tongue. The tongue is one Lethal Weapon, it can cause divisions, it can cause tension and hear your how we see each other, how we treat each other? Encouraging the Church of Ephesus hate bear with each other, very with one another in love. I don't know about love Reese's. Hey, you will know the difference if you love those to the world. He talks about that. It's easier said than done. Because you know what? Brought Christians, there are some Christians, some of us have been

Amen. All right, some of us Christians have bizarre theories. Amen.

Really out there behaviors and actions. Amen. Some of us. Some of us cannot sit in the same room with one another or getting real quiet.

It's tough bearing with one another in love because you know what, there are some Christians. There are some Christians who have set in churches or P to experience the love of God and it becomes the most damaging place in their life. Some Christians are hurt by Christians. And it's tough. He opposed it with one another in love.

Make the effort, make the effort to Unity. People have faults, people have problems, but pool writes that this church should focus on what your focus and concentrate on what unites them. Rap, then what? He fights. Focus on what unites because you know what? If everyone were like me, it'll be really boring. If everyone were like forever, be a little bit wild and exciting.

If everyone was like, many, everyone would be sleeping. Love you, Maddie.

but the thing is that we have this calling It's United gether. One of the toughest things we need to do as Christians is too bad. With one another in love. Focusing on what units are, you know what today? I mean, one of the biggest things that I've seen is The cancel culture I've been preparing for Brisbane. Coming up in July, I don't speak to a bunch of high schoolers and one of it. One of the biggest struggles today is cancel culture. Anyone doesn't know what kinds of cultures which is when you say something that's a size, medium government doesn't like you walked out. You are look down. Things are taken away from you, things like that.

Israel folau. okay, prime example, spoke out from his conviction Rip the contract, canceled him out and that's cancel culture. And we send to me when I hear the sound like it, man. That's history.

In the church as a whole.

I mean, can we honestly say that we look at the person sitting right next to you. And we see them as a child of God. Or do we see their skin color first?

Things that already is a barrier. Do we set this person that sitting next to you? Do we see them as as as a cooling called by God, but, The kind of dropped the wrong way a few times. Don't really like what they say, they're really like what they've done in the history.

I'm going to come to church. I don't want to sit on. This side of the pew.

but, What I love about this is that everyone could get to look at chapter 2, if he's chapter 2, verse 14. Have a look at fishing chapter 2. Verse 14. Okay. he says for Christ himself, has brought peace to us and Jen's house into how many people 1 people when in his body in his own body, on the cross, he broke down the, what? He broke down the what, everybody? He broke down the wall that separated us.

Contact city of Jerusalem, had a wall.

Booster. They protect the people inside, okay? And they keep people out if you were not a Jew outside outside of this wall. And she's as cute. He's saying hate. I didn't come to build a wall. I came down to break. I came here to break it down. I can take it to break down this wall of separation division, so they can be one people through Jesus, One race.

I don't know what the code. Humans.

Druid One race humans with one problem.

I need a one solution, Jesus. And one hope the resurrection of Jesus.

Jesus came.

Living a life where you have to come and get together see each other. As one because that's what you even, Jesus prayed for Unity.

Jesus prayed for Unity as well sir. Practical lesson we need to make an effort of unity. My man McCoy's friend, Steve Jobs. We go way back. Steve Jobs. Was technology was not enough.

Technology was not enough. When he was when he was kind of kicked out off of apple, he decided to buy pizza.

That's my pizza and the thing is grievously and picks up. They had these plans of the building of where they were going to work and these plans consisted of three different buildings in each building had offices, had computers had their own kitchens. What happened was Steve Jobs? He looked at these great buildings and he said, not rip it up. He whipped it up, through it out. And then he says, design, even better. And then they look at the sign that he drew, it's just one building. One big building. I mean, people are saying what what's going on here? Why did you create this? Why did you create the simple basic design? The original plan for the three buildings. What's the separate offices? So you got signed animators, you got the drawers, going, all these different people in these different offices, but for Steve Jobs. So something that was even greater, and that was far more important than putting people in separate buildings and separate offices. And this is what the prison of pizza today, says about Steve Jobs did says the philosophy behind this design Is that it's good to put the most important function at the heart of the building. He's talking about this one building block that, that, that Steve Jobs design. Well, what's a most important function? This is it. It's the interaction of our employees. They said that's why Steve a big empty space in this one building. And you wanted to create an open area for people to always be talkin to each other. Always be talking to each other and if, when you come across somebody, you're getting your cap on your getting your cupcake and you're drinking. And you're walking, you see another design, you build relationship, and then you go.

Then they form ideas benefits to walk around and then they bump into other other artists and in daycare ideas, come out to the restaurant that we liked and and a goat. And they build relationship. Can you see what's happening?

The togetherness of the employees was more important than the building.

Then the building.

Sir.

We need to grow. Ingenuity. Growing in unity and working together and on this working together. First point was in unity. Second Point gift being active. Everyone say I have a spiritual gift.

Let's look at verse 7 & 8. That's okay.

Ephesians chapter 4, verse 7 & 8 and would like to read it out.

Read out loud.

I k then it says thank you to give me an amen. Amen. Thank you. When he ascended on high, he led the host of captives. What? He gave gifts to males.

Thinking you were listening to men. He gave gifts to men. I have a spiritual gift. What I love about this is that we look at the two of us, questions in churches when it comes to spiritual gifts. First Spiritual gifts. and the second question is, what is a critical for me to know my spiritual gift? Spiritual gifts is a gift given by Jesus Through the Holy Spirit, to build, others up to help them.

What people usually get confused about spiritual gifts. This is that People take spiritual gifts, the fruits of the spirit.

Positions of the church pasta.

Worship leader. Kiki and spiritual gift. But that's not what he's talking about here.

From the Holy Spirit. And what are they sound? Like, courage been encouragement. When I'm sitting next to someone who is encouragement. It's like Jesus is talking to me. What is another gift of a visual creativity? And communication? These people who bring the word to life through what they make? You want to make it? How did help, what they make communicate? The gospel. Faith. Hope is gone. This is one person in the church.

Depend on Jesus.

These are gifts that help build each other up.

Let me ask you a question if these gifts were given to you and me. Do you know what you'll get.

Because if you do fantastic, if you don't fantastic. because this next question here, that we're about to discuss the importance of the four, been given the gift, and if we know using this gift, We're not fulfilling the purpose that God had for our lives. People filling it. we don't live in a few minutes that we get to experience when you be called, from God,

Like, I don't think I can explain the feeling or even just a thought. Living the life every single day, 100% confident, because you knew exactly what you and you are using it to build, others up for the kingdom. It's critical. Critical that we notice.

11. + 12. Coming toward the clothes, 11 to 12, it says. Boss is this and he gave the Apostle, the prophets, the event was the shippers and teachers to equip the same for the work of ministry. All the faith in knowledge of God. What I love about this verse This is for all of us. When I read this, I'm like, this is hit me. because one, It reviews.

It reveals the minister.

One, who is the quipper mentioned here?

Can everyone see it?

Apostles prophet. Equip.

What?

I'm cooking some ministers.

I'm speaking to the ministers here.

What I know is I didn't in and christened them. The minister is this guy. and what I realize when I read this was man, this is hit me because according to this verse, I'm barely doing my role.

I'm not, I'm out there. Come around. But I'm not equipping. I'm not seen by your side and asking you, what's your spiritual gift?

What are you passionate about? YouTube. Cool today.

That's Tuff. It reminds me, I could see explaining. Has anyone heard of American football? Put your hand up. If you Put your hand up. If you don't know American Okay. Alright let me explain it. Sorry, American football. Can the whole team gets into a huddle and then the quarterback who is a captain? He's not, he's the guy who makes the place and he is all right. What I'm going to do is I'm going to get, you said, you guys are going to block me here. things like that and then the team says yes and then they run the play that the captain Sid They run that play. But the way I read this verse and using this illustration is a quarterback stand in the circle and then I want you to run down this. I want you to cut down here and then turn left and go right into brake. NFL quarterbacks.

And then the quarterbacks is our come back up and then dump the team comes back on. I love the way you called those plays, you do with such passion and conviction or 14th. Now I'm going to need you guys to do a little bit of work so he is this plate. I want you to do this, they get ready. The cat, the captain, or the quarterback goes out on the field and the team.

And then after that, what? He's like, or I got to come back on now. I feel like I want to be a captain.

That's the way I'm seeing this right now and that's what I believe that's how I was like, that's how I grew up seeing the pasta. Coming here. And standing in churches. And then and a lot of the members summer and move. But many are disengaged, many are inactive when God has given a quart and a gift to everyone. Sir Paul Hayes, run the play. Run the plate did in the book of Acts in the book of Acts. There was a total of 40 m equals how many everybody. Obese, 40 Miracles were done outside the church.

39 out of 40 Miracles, were done outside the church to Jesus. and this isn't gifts where we could just come and, and, and, and look after one another Scripture, you look out for one another but then you go out and run the play. Run the play. Third point. We are growing Unity. Second one, what's my second one? Oh man, this is awesome. Being active. And then the next one is grow together. It will say I have a church, I have a church team. Jesus is described as the head, the head of the church. And now you guys Inspire 16 describing the body. That each individual part must work together according to its design and in the intended way, in order for the body to function, a lot of you guys have been around, and I've heard that before party. Typical thing. The buddy. No, yes, I'm kind of with that. I've heard this all before. But I love the way Paul Illustrated here, which brought it to life and he says this. The first 16 from him, the whole body joined and how together by every supporting ligament grows and builds itself up in love. As each part does his work.

That people use 24/7. 99% of the day.

And I thought of this, it's the first thing that touches the ground. And the last thing that leaves the ground in the night,

We're going even.

Even more detailed.

I want to look at Pinkie Pie.

Okay good. Research on the pinky toe. you know, when you walk this is a simple terms, every time you step, There's a thing called the tripod. And a tripod, how many, how many legs does a tripod? Have Free. All right has three insert. A tripod is activated every time you take a take a walk that maintains your balance one. It's your heel. It's your big toe, knuckle. Three, it's your pinky knuckle.

Every time you step, that's what maintains your balance. You take away one of the tripod legs, what happens? Unstable still able to do some daily tolls, still able to do everything that you love, but it's not going to be the same because you're always your balance is always off.

did you know, that's

How, how long? how long are blood vessels would be if we took it all out and laid down in a long straight line,

Anyone pretend up. 100000. MI.

I'm bad with number so to me don't mean nothing Illustrated. I found it like this. It's as long as the Great Wall of China. * 20.

That's as simple as I can get. That's how long I'll blood vessels. The bloody struggle, but it's never the same.

it's so this means that when one person in the church, when one person is weak, the body suffers. The body, you may not see it physically, but hey, in the big scheme in the spiritual world, it is suffering. it is suffering and when people get hurt when people get weak, the natural responsible, human beings is not

I want to cut you off. I want to block you off. You keep at a distance? And the way I see that is like okay I don't need you to heal you stay awake. What happens when you cut off circulation?

It dies. That body part dies in the body is never the same answer. The anger and The Grudges that I carried on Christians, on shoulders by their very own choices information be from the church. It's exhausting themselves and killing them.

And mind you guys.

Okay. Jesus didn't die at the same buildings. He died to save people.

and so when, so when one of us is week, when one of us is dying, I Hope Church. It's dying. That's that's the result. If one of us is dying, if one of us isn't paying, if one of us is not healing, if one of us is is is not wanting to talk to the person across the aisle. We.

But this is why I love this person verse 16. Sorry guys, I'm coming to the end. Just loving this right now. We came in first 16, where is this from him? The whole body joined and how together by every supporting ligament. I think this is why I pull uses this word joint in first 16th, Airborne say, Pepsi, It was a hectic day in the Greek. When people read this It's been interpreted as a body, limb, a limb, a part of your body, a foot, a hand, a leg. When they look at the word joints, What this word. this world is far more valuable than just a body limb, because He uses this word to explain and to Define what holds these bones together. And that is ligaments. Ligaments, anyone know how many ligaments we have in our body? Anyone know how many bones we have in our body?

206 / 206. How many ligaments do we have in our body?

Around 900 ligaments.

How much do the burns rely on the ligaments? What was that sitting? How much do we need to rely on one another?

Unlock. A lot.

I just mean Sky's with the bones and the ligaments. The ligaments is what transfers nutrients. It's so windy.

It's like the ligaments, man. We need to be dependent on one another. Strengthen one, another. Bed with one another in love.

A healthy Church, a healthy Church. A healthy Gathering of believers. It's not defined by the amazing preaching. A healthy church is not defined by how good the program is. A healthy church. It's not defined by the how. How loud? Everyone sings? That doesn't Define a healthy church church.

What defines a healthy church is unity in the spirit. Growing together. Growing together.

Most important message Frost man coming through. This is that church health. Rather than Church size. It's what defines? Success, within a congregation. Church Health rather than Church size.

Does it finishing right near the finish line? Why? I belong on. That is calling growing together. Why, why does it? Why is this important? Why is God's calling all important? Why do we need to unify? Why do we need to use these gifts? What is the prime reason? The son of man came. This is it. The son of man came and he gave everything. He gave he gave everything and he gave up everything to come into this world. What does that mean? No one's ever told me, or ask me, can you give up everything? No one's ever said that to me. But if someone was to say to me, I want you to give up everything. The first thing I think of is, My beautiful wife. My kids kid gets to come. I'm speaking feature.

My wife, my kids. Church church family. My family Melbourne. I did going further onto things, I have material things. That's what that's what. That's what everything is to me. When someone says can you give up everything

But I have no idea. I have no idea. What Jesus gave up.

I have no idea what that is.

And I've been looking to try and find illustrations. How we could really understand this. finding out analogies or stories to try and and and and, and and grasp, what Jesus gave up

But I don't know what that is. I have no idea what Jesus gave up for us. But I'm amazed at his love for us. His love for me. the son of man came to this earth and at the end of his ministry, he cried, Matthew 27, verse 45, Jesus cried. My God. My God, why have you forsaken me?

Many people have tried to interpret this cry.

I'd really like to think about it, guys. My God. My God, why have you forsaken me? Like we talkin about a cry from within the trinity.

We're talking about a cry. Being separated from his father. Since eternity.

My God. Why have you forsaken me?

And there's an author who suggests that these words? My God. My God, why have you forsaken me? Contains one of the most impenetrable Mysteries. Of the entire gospel. Jesus's disciples abandon him. What is cry. Wasn't through the disciples is cry? What's to the father?

Jesus came to redeem restore and reconcile. The costliest Mission ever. Searching for the Lost. Searching for you. Searching for me. This is the why. This is what motivates us permission.

From his cry. We understand the lengths, he willingly went for us. From that cry, but he went through it for us.

And now from his cry.

Did you just call to the church?

The corny in unity. The calling to grow the calling to grow together. And to share Jesus to the Lost. What you came for? Sir. My challenge is. Is this?

Have you allowed yourself? To be used by God.

Have you allowed yourself to be used by God? And maybe you were that person who has his first wanting to grow in unity. but the church has failed you Wanting to be active. So, unmotivated party-list.

And don't want to throw with anybody. Cuz you look at your own weaknesses, you are in, doubts and fears.

But I want to challenge any card you today. Are you allowing yourself to be used by God today? and if not, Then what's holding you back? If sir then? Just calling. Calling for your life. What? I love about this dispersed, there is no expiry date. Age is not a reason. Weakness is not a reason.
