Key Verses:

Deuteronomy 29:10-13,

10 Ye stand this day all of you before the LORD your God; your captains of your tribes, your elders, and your officers, with all the men of Israel,

11 Your little ones, your wives, and thy stranger that is in thy camp, from the hewer of thy wood unto the drawer of thy water:

12 That thou shouldest enter into covenant with the LORD thy God, and into his oath, which the LORD thy God maketh with thee this day:

13 That he may establish thee to day for a people unto himself, and that he may be unto thee a God, as he hath said unto thee

Deuteronomy 30:19-20

19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

20 That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

Moses called Israel together and rehearsed their history and the many deliverances that God had given them.
He Challenged them that they would hear the words of the Lord God. For in his words there was both a blessing and a curse. He challenged them to enter into covenant with the Mighty God.
A blessing for those who obeyed and did all the Lord commanded!
A curse for those who walk after their own heart!
In Chap 30:19 - He declares unto them that the choice is theirs and compels them to choose life.
This same scenario is again rehearse in the New Testament (New Covenant)
Romans 6:16

16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

The Choice is still the same!:
John 10:10

10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

We can choose Jesus: the giver of righteousness and life
or
We can choose sin: bondage and death

The Natural Man, our own Heart, the way is SIN:

Blindness:

2 Corinthians 4:4

4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Bondage:

Galatians 5:1

5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

Death:

Romans 6:23 (a)

23 For the wages of sin is death;

Curse:

2 Thessalonians 1:8

8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy! John 10:10

Righteousness, Truth, JESUS

Jesus declared, I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly! John 10:10

Peace

Jeremiah 29:11 KJV 1900
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Rest

Matthew 11:28-30

28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Purpose

1 Peter 2:9-10
9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

Revelation

Ephesians 1:9

Ephesians 1:9

9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:

Life

Romans 6:23 (b)

23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Your Adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour! Predator hunting prey!
Behold, I stand at the door and know, if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in and sup with him and he with me. Savior, redeemer, searching for anyone who will!
