Christian faith is a vital and dynamic spiritual principle. In other words, it is always either growing or dying; it is never simply stagnant and static.
r that grows and develops in a way analogous to the growth and development of our human nature.
The apostles make an enthusiastic profession of faith in Jesus, but Jesus knows their faith is still fragile. In other words, it is immature, over-enthusiastic at one moment and fickle the next, much as a teenager might demonstrate intense enthusiasm for something in one moment but disdain the same thing later. Faith is a living spiritual organism that we need to constantly nurture and develop. If we do not nurture our faith, then it can become stunted and weak. Our faith is never simply static, it is always either growing or weakening
