Psalm 34:6
Psalm 34:6
6 This poor man called and Yahweh heard,
and saved him from all his troubles.
The adjective poor in this text is not literal, meaning poverty or deficient of monetary or other resources. Poor denotes someone in need of help.
David testifies in this Psalm that when he was in need of help, the Lord helped him.

David testifies in this text of having many trials. Let’s identify with the text, what kind of troubles do you want to giver him?
1 Peter 1:6 So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. 7 These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.
1 Peter 4:12 Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. 13 Instead, be very glad—for these trials make you partners with Christ in his suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing his glory when it is revealed to all the world.

Let’s further identify with the text, lets make David like one of us. Let’s put a calling on his life.
He’s a newly ordained / licensed
Pastor
Minister
Elder
So your newly licensed / ordained into ministry, you already dealing with
marital— problems
monetary — problems
domestic — problems
vocation — problems
personal — problems
now you in ministry and you gotta deal with ministry pbroblems
and you feel like that southern R&B group Escape when they sing “ Who can I run too”
Can i Suggest that this is authentic, because 1 Samuel 16 & 17 qualify it ....
David gets anointed as the new King, the new Elder, Pastor, Minister in 1 Samuel 16
in chapter 17 he has to fight Goliath after that has to deal with the jealousy of his boss King Saul
Before this he was fighting animals now he’s contending with people
who are crafty, conniving, cunning
David helps us, because he said
he called to the Lord
God heard him
and delivered him from all of it
when you get a chance read
2 Samuel 22:1 David sang this song to the Lord on the day the Lord rescued him from all his enemies and from Saul
Various ways God is with you
Various ways God is with you
Word - Mathew 24:35 Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear.
God can speak a word to your life and if you never got another word, that word would sustain you
— when God spoke the world into existence in eternity past, the world is still sustained of of that one word.
Deed - Philippians 1:6 And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
Truth - Deuteronomy 31:8 Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.”
So we have the word him working in our life and he’s with us through each process… season etc...
