Who is the Greatest Generation?

This title was given to the generation who were born in the early 1900’s. They were born into an economy that was flourishing. There were many technological breakthroughs that would change the world as they knew it and would continue on even into generation. The radio, telephone, and car were technologies that would turn the world upside down.
There was also a large gap forming between the haves and the have nots. Eventually, the Great Depression would hit, and this group would have to suffer great economic loss and well as social turmoil.
After this, World War II came along. This group was instrumental in winning this war. They would make sacrifices and do whatever it took to win this war. There were those who actually went to war. There were many who rationed and gave up personal luxuries to make sure the troops had what they needed in order to win the war.
