Ephesians 4:22–24 ESV
22 to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, 23 and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, 24 and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.

1. Stop Digging up the dead man.

in order to change you have to let go of what you used to be and start fresh.
anyone that has changed their life over to the care of God remembers the day it happened.
you cant change for one week it took a couple of years you transform over time.
2 Corinthians 3:18 ESV
18 And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.
look at your neighbor and say “transformed”
share your experience (the car ride to Abilene).

2. Be renewed in the spirit of your mind.

when putting on your new self, the transformation starts to take place. you start making better CHOICES, which brings better results.
(Choices) the Choices we make in life determine so much.
After making the right choices we notice the direction God is taking us. it’s like typing Jesus in our Google Maps and fallowing the arrow.

3. Discipleship & Relationship.

Peter, (in the Bible) Changed after the death and resurrection.
He went from a man the denied Jesus three times to a man that spreed the word all over.

Peter:
Was born at Bethsaida, in Galilee. He was by occupation a fisherman. Christ gave him a name which in Syriac implies a rock. Peter is supposed to have suffered martyrdom at Rome, during the reign of the emperor Nero, being crucified with his head downward, at his own request.
