I. The Miracle vs. 1-10

A. A set time to pray was at 3 PM. Their minds would be on worship, but if our minds are on worship then they will be on others not ourselves only.
B. It was also a significant time, as Jesus died at that time.

Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.
C. The crippled beggar was being carried, he hadn’t gotten to his begging spot in the temple yet. He was asking every passerby to give alms, so he wasn’t paying attention to Peter and John just yet.
D. He was walking like a toddler. Once they start walking you can’t get them to sit down. The man was leaping for joy!
E. Luke being a physician uses detailed medical terms.
F. Everybody had recognized him, because he was a fixture at the temple.

II. The Sermon vs. 11-26

A. The man didn’t want to leave Peter and John.
B. We can do nothing from our own power it’s all Jesus. You can’t give what you ain’t got, all we can do is point to Jesus.
C. Barabbas was a murderer, but Jesus is the Prince of life, the exact opposite of a taker of life.
D. We are refreshed by the Holy Spirit in many way. His presence is life.
E. Alluding to Isa. 52:13, 35:6, and Deuteronomy, Peter lays out the case that Jesus had to suffer for salvation to be possible.

III. The Arrest: 4:1-5

A. The people remembered what had happened and who asked for Barabbas, so they had to silence them.
B. The Sadducees did not even believe in the resurrection.
