Congrats on completing a very difficult school year!
I hope summer will bring you much needed rest.
The Bible talks a lot about rest and our need for it.
7th day, God rested as an example.
The OT had the Sabbath. Resting in the Lord.
Matthew 11:28–30 ESV
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Jesus brings complete rest found in God into the New Testament.
Three benefits of rest:
1. Rest heals wounds.
Psalm 147:3 ESV
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

2. Rest replenishes strength.
Isaiah 40:31 ESV
but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
No matter what fuel you run on, you need to be refilled.
Ready to go in August
3. Rest refocuses.
David, anxious about his enemies, rests in the Lord and remembers that He is his strength.
Psalm 4:8 ESV
In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.
Remember the good work you are doing.
So, for this summer, I hope you do get a break which leads to rest. I hope you enjoy the full rest that the Lord provides in Himself.
