But others mocking said, “They are filled with new wine.”
When GOD is working, there will be three responses.
One will ignore it. They are the silent ones in the story. But they are watching. Chapters later we will see 5000 come to Christ that witnessed this first preaching, but did not repent.
The second group is the mockers. Many will see us giving up good jobs because it interferes with church or ministry, or jobs that are in such bad environments that it will be a problem in our spiritual walks. The mockers will respond “You are a hypocritical fanatic”… imagine thinking the Disciples were drunk at 9am in the morning!?
The third group is a ministry opportunity that we much NEVER let pass up no matter HOW busy we are. When a person is seeking GOD and in need of Ministry, when they have questions about something that clearly GOD is doing, YOU CANT AFFORD TO MISS THAT CHANCE. Even if it means kids late to school, THAT is your witness to your kids, THAT is your witness to your boss or coworkers. PETER never again misses the chance he missed when he denied Jesus three times.
