If all our hope and dreams could be boiled down to 1 thing, what would it be?
The Psalmist describes his one thing: the LORD

Behold beauty

Hide—a guest in someone’s tent received protection from the host

The outcome of our desire: praise (6)
Tabernacle/temple—both can be used to refer to the place of worship
Outcome: peace offerings and singing. Jam 5:13; Acts 16:25
Our Requests for the LORD (7-12)
Hear and answer my cry for mercy (7)

Leave me not (9-10)
Teach me and lead me (11): a plain path—level path—any misstep or slip will be exploited by the enemy.
Deliver (12)
Our waiting on the LORD (13-14)
The goodness of the LORD is worth waiting for (13)
Wait: qavveh. Meaning: hope, confident but tense expectation. Related to the word for rope.
Life can be tense and tight, but God will pull us through.
We wait/hope through various things—courage needed
People who mistreat and lie about us (12)—hope in the Lord
The loss of a loved one (10)—hope in the Lord
Illness consuming your flesh (2)—hope in the Lord.
EXHORTATION
Is the Lord your one thing?
He you confidence? your desire? have requests for him? waiting and hoping on Him?
Seek him. Put your trust in him.
