28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

29 /Are/ all apostles?

/are/ all prophets?

/are/ all teachers?

/are/ all workers of miracles?

30 Have all the gifts of healing?

do all speak with tongues?

do all interpret?

Divine Miraculous healings have been a source of a lot of interest throughout the time of Christianity.

These great miracles of God have done more than just made the sick and hurting to feel better.

Lives have been saved.

Souls have been won, God has been glorified time and time again.

Some teach that the plural Gifts of Healings means that there are limits to the gift.

One may deliver one from cancer but not heart trouble etc.; but that isn’t biblical.

There are no limits to the power of the Holy Spirit

Still others out there when filled with the spirit and after God has used them in a certain way such as healings want to think of themselves as “healers” that isn’t true we are used of God for that time and we are no more than we were before children of God.

Some have had a desire to say that healing was only for the “Apostolic Age” and not for our time but God’s word tells us that with Him “a day is as a thousand years and a thousand years as a day” therefore in “God’s time” two days ago Peter and John were at the gate beautiful when Peter said “silver and gold have I none.

1 Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, /being/ the ninth /hour/. 2 And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple; 3 Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.

4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us. 5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.

6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted /him/ up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.

More than one gift of the Holy Spirit was in action that day lets look:

Discernment:  Peter with John fastened his eyes upon him that was important enough to keep it in the bible.

He was looking at his body, and his spirit.

Discerning what the beggar truly needed.

Faith: Peter needed more than just a little faith to do this act it was at the Gate Beautiful which was at the door of the Temple of Solomon doing this could bring on people who would end up trying to have them arrested for this act of faith.

Word of Knowledge: Peter didn’t ask for the mans healing he commanded the man to rise up and walk in the name of Jesus!

Faith: he took him by the hand and raised him up instead of waiting and hoping for his healing to maybe happen like we do today.

Gifts of Healings: the mans legs were made strong immediately and not over time but immediately!
