Our Heavenly Father, our Defender

I would like to continue with our series

“Come to the Father.”

Jesus, is the only one who can introduce us to our heavenly Father completely, Jesus has the right Theology, the perfect relationship, any other concepts or opinions about God the Father, needs to be corrected by Jesus teachings.

The greatest name of God, Jesus came to reveal to us, is Daddy, Abba Father.

My prayer is, that during this series we will see our Heavenly Father, the way, Jesus sees Him.

What do you do, when people falsely accuse you, when people lie to you, and you find out their intention was to harm you?

Our Heavenly Father, our Defender.

He will gladly respond to us as soon as we call on Him, but before we call we need to be aware of 3 things.

1 We have an enemy,

We have an enemy that is fully committed to destroy us. He hates God and the only way to hurt God is to come after us, He will do whatever he can, to come against us.

Satan will use people to come after us, friends, family, Christians religious leaders, anyone who will listen to him.

Jesus speaking to religious leaders who were questioning His authority, and legitimate birth.

Joh 8:42 Then Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and now am here. No, indeed, I have not come on my own authority, but He has sent me.

Joh 8:43 Why is it that you misunderstand what I say? It is because you cannot listen to what I teach.

Joh 8:44 You sprang from the devil, your real father, and you want to practice your father's wishes. He was a murderer from the very start, and he does not stand by the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he tells a lie, he speaks out of his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies.

Satan is our accuser, The name satan means adversary.

Rev 12:10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, "Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom (dominion, reign) of our God, and the authority of His Christ have come; for the accuser of our [believing] brothers and sisters has been thrown down [at last], he who accuses them and keeps bringing charges [of sinful behavior] against them before our God day and night.

when he comes before God to accuse us he has no chance, our Heavenly Father will defend us, but when he lies and accuse us to each other, our response will depend on how much we are listening to satan.

Satan is looking for someone to pick up an offense, if you do it, he claims legal rights over you.

Religious leaders are subject to it

Act 5:17 Now the high priest took a stand, and all his friends, the party of the Sadducees; and being filled with jealousy,

Act 5:18 they had the apostles arrested and put into the common jail.

Act 5:19 But in the night the angel of the Lord threw open the jail doors and let them out, and said to them,

Act 5:20 "Go and take your stand in the temple square and continue to tell the people the message of this new life."

Our Heavenly Father was watching over them

Stephen’s death

He was stoned to death as he preached to them and forgave them.

Act 7:59 They continued stoning Stephen as he continued praying, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit!"

Act 7:60 Then he fell on his knees and cried out, "Lord, do not charge this sin on the book against them!" On saying this he fell asleep in death.

Devout women

Act 13:50 But the Jews stirred up the devout women of high rank and the men of first rank in town, and so started a persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and drove them out of their district.

Anyone can be use by the enemy, unless we have a relationship with our Heavenly Father and are listening to Him. Don’t pick up offenses or you will sin.

2 Our enemy, is not human.

Although the enemy can use people, they are not really our enemy.

Eph 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this [present] darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) places.

The Devil our accuser is the one behind every evil thing people do. The accusations the lies and sometimes anger may come through people, even those close to us, but they are influenced by Satan.

Right from the beginning of time, Cain Kills Able because he pick up an offense.

Joseph was hated by his own brothers, they were going to kill him, that’s how much hate they had within their hearts.

The enemy was trying to destroy God’s plans and dreams for Joseph, Potiphar’s wife, she lied, could be the end of his life, but God was with him, defending him. From prison he rose to be the second most powerful men in Egypt.

King David was anointed to be king when he was around 15 years old, he only became king when he was 30 years old, for all the years Saul persecute David, David never disrespected him, Saul was determined to kill David, more than once David had the opportunity to kill him or tell one of His 30 mighty men to do so. But He would not touch God’s anointed.

David knew that God’s anointed was not behaving the way he was supposed to, Saul was jealous, harassed by demons, trying to destroy God’s calling on David’s life.

It is easy to get offended by people, but often we miss to address the one who is behind the offense.

3 Our Heavenly Father, our Banner

Yahweh-Nissi The Lord our banner. The Lord gives us the victory in spiritual warfare. When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Lord raises a banner of His love over us and covers us. He wages war on our behalf and makes us more than conquerors in Christ Jesus. (Exodus 17:15)

He will fight for us, Amalek was a relentless enemy of Israel, Moses made sure that they recorded that war, and is one of the names of God. Their victory It was not because of their great fighting abilities but directly related to Moses having his arms up.

This was spiritual warfare not a regular warfare, God gave them the victory.

Our Heavenly Father wants us to know, that battles are won and lost in the invisible world, with The Lord our Banner, we will always win.

He restores our reputation, He protects our name, He will compensate for things we lost.

Let me remind you that covid is not just a virus, is also a spiritual attack over the whole world, more we come under our Heavenly Father’s banner, more we will see victory.

Our Heavenly Father, our defender

He Will always defend and fight for us, when we call on Him.

Just be aware that Satan is the enemy, not people and your Heavenly Father is Yahweh Nissi, The Lord our Banner.

All this happens when we make Jesus the Lord of our lives.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Joh 3:16

To receive Him we need to accept Him as God’s son, repent from our sins and a life of selfishness, asking Him to be your Lord and savior , not that you deserve it, but is a gift from God.

Heavenly Father

I’m sinner,

I’m sorry for my sins,

I’m willing to turn away from my sins.

I receive Christ as my savior,

I confess Him as Lord

And from this moment on I want to follow and serve Him,

in the fellowship of His church,

In Jesus name,
