Mark 16:15 NKJV
15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
Acts 1:8 NKJV
8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

1. Timothy was told by the Apostle Paul to “do the work of an evangelist.”

Acts 21:8 NKJV
8 On the next day we who were Paul’s companions departed and came to Caesarea, and entered the house of Philip the evangelist, who was one of the seven, and stayed with him.

why is this man who served the Church as a deacon now called an evangelist?

Acts 8:26–39 NKJV
26 Now an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, “Arise and go toward the south along the road which goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” This is desert. 27 So he arose and went. And behold, a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under Candace the queen of the Ethiopians, who had charge of all her treasury, and had come to Jerusalem to worship, 28 was returning. And sitting in his chariot, he was reading Isaiah the prophet. 29 Then the Spirit said to Philip, “Go near and overtake this chariot.” 30 So Philip ran to him, and heard him reading the prophet Isaiah, and said, “Do you understand what you are reading?” 31 And he said, “How can I, unless someone guides me?” And he asked Philip to come up and sit with him. 32 The place in the Scripture which he read was this: “He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; And as a lamb before its shearer is silent, So He opened not His mouth. 33 In His humiliation His justice was taken away, And who will declare His generation? For His life is taken from the earth.” 34 So the eunuch answered Philip and said, “I ask you, of whom does the prophet say this, of himself or of some other man?” 35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning at this Scripture, preached Jesus to him. 36 Now as they went down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch said, “See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?” 37 Then Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart, you may.” And he answered and said, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.” 38 So he commanded the chariot to stand still. And both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and he baptized him. 39 Now when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away, so that the eunuch saw him no more; and he went on his way rejoicing.

He was probably reading Isaiah 53:7-8.

Isaiah 53:7–8 NKJV
7 He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, And as a sheep before its shearers is silent, So He opened not His mouth. 8 He was taken from prison and from judgment, And who will declare His generation? For He was cut off from the land of the living; For the transgressions of My people He was stricken.

Who is this passage about? Jesus, that’s right!

what did Philip Do ?

Acts 8:35 NKJV
35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning at this Scripture, preached Jesus to him.

Philip Preached Christ to the Eunuch, and the Eunuch received Christ.

Acts 8:36–38 NKJV
36 Now as they went down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch said, “See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?” 37 Then Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart, you may.” And he answered and said, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.” 38 So he commanded the chariot to stand still. And both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and he baptized him.

An evangelist is one who shares Christ and salvation to a person who needs to hear the message of the Cross.

a. Timothy was a pastor, I do believe that a pastor I am called to share the gospel with the lost and call them int salvation.

b. I am not called to do it alone. We are all called to share the Gospel.

2. The first word in the great commission is GO.

Matthew 28:19 KJV 1900
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Notice the second word in the great commission in the King James version (ye) in modern English would be you.
see how that makes it more personal it is. that is why we are trying to get the message out.
Church on the Street.
Sunday night out reaches these are all designed to share the message.

because of conventional wisdom we went to Arthur- Sears park.
we where never as successful as we had hoped.
We got extremely more successful when we.
we stated doing this to reach the lost.
I would have never thought that we would only have to go to the parking lot.
we want to reach the lost.
we are trying to organize this way in advance is so that the people that are normally trouble shooting can be mingling instead of trouble shooting.
we are not trying to chain anybody to the outreaches. we are trying to unchain everybody.
we would like to spread the work around as much as we can.
this is why we need you to step up and sign up.
i know that you have heard it said “don't sign up just show up.
that’s exactly what we are trying to get away from. we are trying to put on the best event that we can.
in order to do that we need to organize.
Administration is an office in the church.
1 Corinthians 12:28 NKJV
28 And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues.
1 Corinthians 14:40 NKJV
40 Let all things be done decently and in order.
