17 For the righteousness of God is revealed in the gospel from faith to faith, just as it is written, “The righteous by faith will live.”

Who are the Righteous?

The NET Bible Chapter 13

38 Therefore let it be known to you, brothers, that through this one forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you,

39 and by this one everyone who believes is justified from everything from which the law of Moses could not justify you.

Original sin is imputed to us just as Christ’s righteousness is imputed to us. It wasn’t through one man sin entered the world and spread because every individual started sinning because that would warp our understanding of Christ’s work into righteousness entered the world through one man and spread to everyone through doing the right things.
