“Alas! Alas! You great city,
you mighty city, Babylon!
For in a single hour your judgment has come.”

Revelation 18:10 (ESV)
They will stand far off, in fear of her torment, and say,
“Alas! Alas! You great city,
you mighty city, Babylon!
For in a single hour your judgment has come.”
The kings are utterly dumbfounded that such a city of power could become dead and powerless. As rulers, they were especially addicted to power. Now that power is gone; they are in withdrawal. They are not so much grieved by the death of the city as by their own losses.
c. Are you shocked when Babylon’s pleasure ends? (V10)

Revelation 18:10 (ESV)
They will stand far off, in fear of her torment, and say,
“Alas! Alas! You great city,
you mighty city, Babylon!
For in a single hour your judgment has come.”
IN A SINGLE HOUR - (SYMBOLIC)
Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”—
yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.
IT IS THE IDEALOGICAL ASSUMPTION AND ERROR OF THOSE WHO ARE PART OF THE WHORE CHURCH THAT THEY HAVE TIME TO GET THINGS RIGHT that will be their demise

REVELATION 18:14 ADDS THE FOLLOWING:
“The fruit for which your soul longed
has gone from you,
and all your delicacies and your splendors
are lost to you,
never to be found again!”
“... the fruit of your soul’s lust fled from you.” All the goods listed earlier were like dainty luxuries squandered on a royal courtesan. Now they are forever gone.
All your riches and splendor have vanished repeats the thought of the first line in different words.
Never to be recovered is literally, “and they will never find these things any longer.” The heavenly voice speaks to the city with divine authority: the loss is irreparable and eternal.
B. Those Who Love Jesus Will Rejoice Over Her Demise (20-24)
B. Those Who Love Jesus Will Rejoice Over Her Demise (20-24)
Rejoice over her, O heaven,
and you saints and apostles and prophets,
for God has given judgment for you against her!”
Then a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying,
“So will Babylon the great city be thrown down with violence,
and will be found no more;
AND WILL BE FOUND NO MORE - COMPLETE AND TOTAL WIPEOUT
WE WILL REJOICE BECAUSE, ACCORDING TO 1 COR 12 WE WILL SEE CLEARLY
PRINCIPLE OF LIFE OF THE FAITHFUL: WHAT IS SEEN IS TEMPORARY
PRINCIPLE OF LIFE OF THE FAITHFUL: WHAT IS SEEN IS TEMPORARY
WHAT WILL BE REVELED IN THE FALL OF BABYLON I WANT TO EXPRESS IN A FAMILIAR [HRASE, BUT WITH A SLIGHT CHANGE IN WORDING.
THE FALL OF BABYLON WILL REVEAL THAT:
III. GOD IS JUST ALL THE TIME AND ALL THE TIME GOD IS JUST - 19:1-5
III. GOD IS JUST ALL THE TIME AND ALL THE TIME GOD IS JUST - 19:1-5
After this I heard what seemed to be the loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, crying out,
“Hallelujah!
Salvation and glory and power belong to our God,
for his judgments are true and just;
for he has judged the great prostitute
who corrupted the earth with her immorality,
and has avenged on her the blood of his servants.”
Once more they cried out,
“Hallelujah!
The smoke from her goes up forever and ever.”
And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who was seated on the throne, saying, “Amen. Hallelujah!”
And from the throne came a voice saying,
“Praise our God,
all you his servants,
you who fear him,
small and great.”
THERE IS NOTHING BUT WORSHIP - PRAISE AND HALLELUJAH’S - FROM THE ANGELS, THE ELDERS AND THE MYRIADS OF SAINTS: WHY
THE DRAGON, THE FIRST BEAST (ANTI-CHRIST) THE SECOND BEAST (THE FALSE SPIRIT) AND THE WHORE CHURCH - ALL HAVE BEEN JUDGED
AND JOHN SAYS IN VERSE 2
Revelation 19:2 (ESV)
for his judgments are true and just;…”
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth.
For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them.
THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THE WORLD - GOD IS CLEAR SEEN IN HIS CREATION
THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THOSE WHO HAVE SAT UNDER THE GOSPEL - FOR THEY HAVE HEARD THE WORD OF DELIVERANCE.
Therefore you have no excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, practice the very same things.
We know that the judgment of God rightly falls on those who practice such things.
