Channels of Prayer
Psalm 65:2–4 ESV
2 O you who hear prayer, to you shall all flesh come. 3 When iniquities prevail against me, you atone for our transgressions. 4 Blessed is the one you choose and bring near, to dwell in your courts! We shall be satisfied with the goodness of your house, the holiness of your temple!
Invitation to come up front with the pilot.
Amos 3:7 NKJV
7 Surely the Lord God does nothing, Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.
Sis. Nona Freeman, missionary to South Africa was on a ship (her first voyage over) with her 5 children.
They all developed the whooping cough and the baby got pneumonia. She had some nursing experience and she said, “I knew my baby was dying”.
In those days, when out on a ship and someone died they buried them at sea. She had the horror of thinking of watching them put her child overboard into the ocean.
She wrestled with them for days and nights, because they were all sick. She was so exhausted, she could not pray anymore. All she knwo to do was to kneel by the baby’s bed, and say “Oh God, lay me on somebody’s heart! Let somebody, somewhere pray for me.”
All of a sudden, it felt like a warm breeze blew into the ship cabin. She saw her baby’s chest relas into normal breathing, and into a normal sleep as well!
She received six letters from widely separated areas. All of them said the same thing! “Sister Freeman, what was wrong with you and the baby on a certain date; at a certain hour of the day? We were compelled to pray!”
She checked it out and it was the exact day and time
2 Peter 1:12 NKJV
