Limits

To shorten, set boundaries, space, to declare, to specify, to mark out!
Let’s get this disclaimer out front, yes, there are circumstances in this natural experience we call life, we must operate within the limits!
There are speeding limits
There are limits to how many wives we can have. . . Husbands too. .
Limits to an age where you can enter a venue
Limits to many certain things in the world that we must adhere to and are required to operate within those limits.
And if we operate outside of those limits, we suffer the consequences
Numbers 35:26-27 (NKJV) 26  But if the manslayer at any time goes outside the limits of the city of refuge where he fled, 27  and the avenger of blood finds him outside the limits of his city of refuge, and the avenger of blood kills the manslayer, he shall not be guilty of blood,
We all are aware of the man made limits imposed upon us by their own ideologies, in some instances, to protect us, but at times to bind us up and keep us from seeing who we really are!
We as Believers must seek Righteousness, God’s will and His Way! We must seek to live according to His Commands and precepts because operating outside of His Will and His Way,
Yes, throughout the Holy Writ of God, there are limits we must adhere to, and if we operate outside of those limits, we cannot produce any good fruit. . .
John 15:4-5 (NKJV) 4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. 5 I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
We are only able to produce more by realizing that He Abides In Me!!
Thus, the reason for the topic tonight, “Do Not Limit Yourself” how do I not do that?
Can I answer this by saying; Abiding In The Word Of God! God’s Word and The Holy Spirit, keeps you in the limit, at the same time, allows you to take down the limits so that you will be able to see further!
The Power Of The Holy Spirit is inexplicable; some of us have not truly experienced His Power because we have limited Him to our own understanding.
John 16:4-6 (NKJV) 4 But these things I have told you, that when the time comes, you may remember that I told you of them. And these things I did not say to you at the beginning, because I was with you. 5 "But now I go away to Him who sent Me, and none of you asks Me, 'Where are You going?' 6 But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart.
We limit the Word we have received already because of what we are allowing to enter our hearts and water down what God has placed in us!
The Holy Spirit, He only speaks on the authority of God; John 16:13 (NKJV) 13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.
So, when we speak of not limiting yourself, I am referring to you not creating so many boundaries that you bind you up into a place as to where you forget The Word of God that has been spoken over your life! We must become bondservants, limited to only what God says through His Holy Spirit, and we will see the power that we have to be able to realize Mark 9:23 Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
The Psalmist here states; Psalm 119:93 (NKJV)93 I will never forget Your precepts, For by them You have given me life.
Because I realize that I live only because of God’s Word, by The Power of The Holy Spirit which bring back to my remembrance the Word of God! John 14:26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
This is why it is so imperative that you are not limiting yourself to just existing, to just the regulations of religion. God’s Word is Alive, His Word causes you to live, so take the limits off of your understanding and allow the illuminating Power of The Holy Spirit to speak to you and guide you!
We limit ourselves because we believe that God’s Precepts are to hard to follow!
Precepts - Commandments - Instructions
Many times we limit our own thinking because we focus more on the natural, than the Super Natural!
The Holy Spirit does not have a body but you; He lives in you; therefore, He empowers you to operate within the limits of God’s Word for your life, which allows you to be planted by the river and will cause you to be nourished to bring forth much success in your season!
Our feeble minds, natural minds, become weary in well doing because we compare what we don’t have to what we think we should have!
