Verse 7: And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of satan to buffer me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
Do to the revelatory knowledge Paul was receiving, God gave Paul a “God ordain problem.”
This “God ordain problem” was not given out of spite, but out of God’s mercy and love.
A thorn is a God ordain problem. A thorn is not a sin! Sin must be dealt with accordingly.
Paul makes it a point to say that the thorn was in the flesh and not his spirit.
The purpose of the thorn was to keep the flesh in line and subject to the spirit.
