In verse 8.1.a “you shall receive power, from the Holy Spirit . The power is to be a witness.
in order to witness something, you have to have recieved it.
in modern terms we think of pentecostal as the sign gifts:
Tongues.
Miracles.
Prophecy.
Healing .
Raising the dead.
but this passage doesn't say anything about the sign gifts, it says to be witnesses.
we want to see people get saved.
we don’t need technique, we need to learn to tarry.

they tried (in the flesh) to deal with the lacking in the church.
