Introduction

This week we’ve been looking at how God revealed who He was and what He was going to do hundreds of years before they happened.
We saw that when we open our Bible up, from beginning to end, it tells us all about Jesus and how He came to save us.
And when we look for Him, we will find Him.
Jeremiah’s message to the people:

Sin Causes Separation

v. 10
Getting sent to your room.
Adam & Eve consequences for breaking the one rule.
Israel in exile.
God was still with Adam 7 Eve even outside the Garden.
God was still with Israel.
Hope!
God said he would go to them and move them back in!
Sin does have a consequence, but we cannot do anything to make God stop loving us.
We have all sinned.

God Has A Plan For Us

v. 11
Need a specific tool - 15mm wrench. Had a plan, went and paid for it, used it and keep it in a special place.
Plan = Purpose.
Good! Future! Hope! Not evil!
Before you were born, God looked at you and said, “I love him, I have a plan for his life.” “I love her, and I have a plan for her life.”
God has a plan for each one of us.
God’s plan starts by saving you.

We Must Talk To God

v. 12
When someone does something nice - thank you.
We know that God has done a whole lot of nice things for us, including sending Jesus for us.
Our response is more than a “Thank you!”
To call upon Him is to ask Him to receive us - Salvation.
We respond to Him loving us by asking Him to do even more for us. It’s what God has said He wants us to do.
We ask Him to forgive us and give us a special life.
Romans 10:9–10 ESV
because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.
Ask God to save you.

We Follow Jesus With Everything

v. 13
Jesus doesn’t just save part of us, or for a short time.
And so we give Jesus everything we have.
Deuteronomy 6:4 ESV
“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.
Deuteronomy 6:5 ESV
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.
God will forgive you, save you, completely.
So, turn your whole life over to Him.
We give God all of our bad stuff and our good stuff.
Give God your whole life.

Conclusion

God knew we would need forgiveness from our sins. He knew what it would cost Him. He knew Jesus would come to the earth and die for us.
Jesus came and gave up His life for you so that you could be forgiven of your sins.
But, you must respond.
Call to Jesus. Pray and ask Him to forgive you of your sins.
