LET US PRAY
Prayer of Confession and Repentance
Grant, to us Almighty God, since we are extremely deaf to those so many holy warnings by which you continue to recall us to yourself,
and since we continue to harden ourselves against those threatenings, by which you warn us,
that you may break or at least correct our hardness—O grant that we might, attend to your Word and submit ourselves to you, and in a teachable spirit undertake your yoke,
Because you instruct us to Take your yoke upon us, and to learn from you, for you are gentle and lowly in heart,
and you we will find rest for our souls. 30 For your yoke is easy, and your burden is light.”
grant to us your paternal kindness,
and grant us your blessings,
which you have promised to all your children,
who are the members of your only begotten Son our Lord.
Amen.
OT Reading:
Let us turn in our Bibles this afternoon for our Old Testament Reading to Exodus 34:1-34
HEAR NOW THE VERY WORD OF GOD.
THE LORD FEEDS US FROM HIS WORD
That Exodus 34:1-34
The Lord said to Moses, “Cut for yourself two tablets of stone like the first, and I will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets, which you broke. 2 Be ready by the morning, and come up in the morning to Mount Sinai, and present yourself there to me on the top of the mountain. 3 No one shall come up with you, and let no one be seen throughout all the mountain. Let no flocks or herds graze opposite that mountain.” 4 So Moses cut two tablets of stone like the first. And he rose early in the morning and went up on Mount Sinai, as the Lord had commanded him, and took in his hand two tablets of stone. 5 The Lord descended in the cloud and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the Lord. 6 The Lord passed before him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, 7 keeping steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and the children’s children, to the third and the fourth generation.” 8 And Moses quickly bowed his head toward the earth and worshiped. 9 And he said, “If now I have found favor in your sight, O Lord, please let the Lord go in the midst of us, for it is a stiff-necked people, and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for your inheritance.”
The Covenant Renewed
10 And he said, “Behold, I am making a covenant. Before all your people I will do marvels, such as have not been created in all the earth or in any nation. And all the people among whom you are shall see the work of the Lord, for it is an awesome thing that I will do with you.
11 “Observe what I command you this day. Behold, I will drive out before you the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites. 12 Take care, lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land to which you go, lest it become a snare in your midst. 13 You shall tear down their altars and break their pillars and cut down their Asherim 14 (for you shall worship no other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God), 15 lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and when they whore after their gods and sacrifice to their gods and you are invited, you eat of his sacrifice, 16 and you take of their daughters for your sons, and their daughters whore after their gods and make your sons whore after their gods.
17 “You shall not make for yourself any gods of cast metal.
18 “You shall keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread. Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, at the time appointed in the month Abib, for in the month Abib you came out from Egypt. 19 All that open the womb are mine, all your male livestock, the firstborn of cow and sheep. 20 The firstborn of a donkey you shall redeem with a lamb, or if you will not redeem it you shall break its neck. All the firstborn of your sons you shall redeem. And none shall appear before me empty-handed.
21 “Six days you shall work, but on the seventh day you shall rest. In plowing time and in harvest you shall rest. 22 You shall observe the Feast of Weeks, the firstfruits of wheat harvest, and the Feast of Ingathering at the year’s end. 23 Three times in the year shall all your males appear before the Lord God, the God of Israel. 24 For I will cast out nations before you and enlarge your borders; no one shall covet your land, when you go up to appear before the Lord your God three times in the year.
25 “You shall not offer the blood of my sacrifice with anything leavened, or let the sacrifice of the Feast of the Passover remain until the morning. 26 The best of the firstfruits of your ground you shall bring to the house of the Lord your God. You shall not boil a young goat in its mother’s milk.”
27 And the Lord said to Moses, “Write these words, for in accordance with these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel.” 28 So he was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights. He neither ate bread nor drank water. And he wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments.
The Shining Face of Moses
29 When Moses came down from Mount Sinai, with the two tablets of the testimony in his hand as he came down from the mountain, Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone because he had been talking with God. 30 Aaron and all the people of Israel saw Moses, and behold, the skin of his face shone, and they were afraid to come near him. 31 But Moses called to them, and Aaron and all the leaders of the congregation returned to him, and Moses talked with them. 32 Afterward all the people of Israel came near, and he commanded them all that the Lord had spoken with him in Mount Sinai. 33 And when Moses had finished speaking with them, he put a veil over his face.
34 Whenever Moses went in before the Lord to speak with him, he would remove the veil, until he came out. And when he came out and told the people of Israel what he was commanded, 35 the people of Israel would see the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses’ face was shining. And Moses would put the veil over his face again, until he went in to speak with him.
LET THE LORD ADD HIS BLESSING TO THIS READING OF HIS WORD
Please rise for the singing of Gods Word.
Let us turn in our Book of Psalms for Singing to Psalm 103A
That’s Psalm 103A

Congregational Prayer
O Eternal, almighty, and most gracious God, heaven is your throne, and earth is your footstool,
holy and revered is your name; you are praised by the heavenly hosts and in the congregation of your saints on earth,
and will be sanctified in all that come near unto you. We are sinful and unworthy dust,
but being invited by you, are bold, through our blessed Mediator to present ourselves and our supplications before you
Receive us graciously, help us by your Spirit; let your fear be upon us: let your Word come unto us in power,
and be received in love, with attentive, reverent, and obedient minds. Make it to us the savour of life unto life.
Cause us to be fervent in prayer, and joyful in your praises, and to serve you this day without distraction,
that we may find that a day in your courts is better than a thousand,
and that it is good for us to draw near to God; through Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.
Father we Pray for _____________ and we ask for all these things in the powerful, glorious, majestic, and wonderful name of Jesus Christ Amen.

Our New Testament Reading is from 1 John 1:1-10
Turn in your Bibles to 1 John 1:1-10
OUR SERMON TEXT IS ABOUT Walking in the Light with Christ and what true Fellowship looks like.
1 John 1:1-10 Walking in the Light with Christ
Hear now the very Word of God
That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we looked upon and have touched with our hands, concerning the word of life— 2 the life was made manifest, and we have seen it, and testify to it and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was made manifest to us— 3 that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ. 4 And we are writing these things so that our joy may be complete.
Walking in the Light
5 This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
Isaiah 40:8 The Grass withers and the Flower fades but the Word of God shall stand forever
This general letter to congregations across Asia Minor (now Turkey) was probably written by the apostle John in the late first century A.D.
This apostolic letter speaks authoritatively about the truth of the incarnation—
a message John’s doubting readers needed after hearing false teachers deny the full divinity and humanity of Christ.
It reaffirms the core of Christianity, saying that either we exhibit the sound doctrine, obedience, and love that characterize all Christians, or else we are not true Christians.
· The passage of 1 John 1:1-10 is one that makes you question yourself.
· We who claim to be Christians are called to walk in the truth, but YOU know that this is not always the case in your lives.
· The Passage will be calling us to true biblical Fellowship which is in and through Christ.
Let us PRAY
· Father, we pray for the illumination of this passage to us through your spirit.
· Father, we pray that you will use your servant to speak to your people.
· And Father we pray that your Son Christ Jesus would be glorified and exalted in the preaching of your Word.
· We ask this in the name of Christ Jesus our King and head of the Church Amen.
1 John 1:1-10 Walking in the Light with Christ
Introduction about the Book
John does not exhibit any of the formal characteristics that are normally associated with the openings of letters written in Greek in the first century.
Nevertheless, the personal references, the common ties the author shares with his readers,
and the explicit historical referents make it clear that this writing was not intended to be an abstract paper,
a mere brochure, for all Christians everywhere
It was meant to be read as a pastoral letter to a congregation or to a number of congregations.
There is something to be said for the view that its a reflection and the author’s intention was to send it to several congregations along with an accompanying note personalizing each delivery:
This chapter in 1 John is instructing believers about what you must fundamentally understand and believe to truly be a Christian.
And that is why the main point of this sermon is Are you Walking in the Light with Christ
So you might ask me well how do I know if I’m walking in the light with Christ?
Do your beliefs line up with this message of 1 John
And does your life resemble one who is striving towards the call of Christ to be like Christ.
Do you desire to obey his law.
Or can you take it or leave it.
Is this truth so important to you that its like the very air you breath.
Without it you would curl up and die.
Which brings us to our first point.
Point 1

1. God’s nature and forgiveness is spoken of in Verses 1-4

God is from the beginning - Do you believe that Jesus is the second person of the Trinity?
Do you believe he created you with God the Father and God the Holy spirit?
Do you believe the apostles actually heard, saw and touched this same creator when he took on flesh
Do you believe what the WSC Question 21 states

Question 21

Who is the Redeemer of God’ s elect?

The only Redeemer of God’ s elect is the Lord Jesus Christ, (1 Tim. 2:5–6) who, being the eternal Son of God, became man, (John 1:14, Gal. 4:4) and so was, and continueth to be, God and man in two distinct natures, and one person, for ever. (Rom. 9:5, Luke 1:35, Col. 2:9, Heb. 7:24–25)

And Jesus the Word actually gives life.
Was manifested to his disciples.
The Word became Flesh
This is the Word they are talking about the “Good News” “That is what the Word of life is” verses 1&2
Although they are talking about specifically the Testimony of the Gospel this Greek “word” is Logou and not Logos.
Its the message speaking about the Logos.
They Heard with there ears,
Saw with there eyes,
and touched with there Hands
this Jesus who was manifested in the flesh to them.
This is the Jesus who gives eternal life.
There proclamation is that Jesus was with the Father and was made manifest to us
So just as the apostles are declaring these truths about God and who he is
Moses wrote down what God declared about himself in our Old testament reading this morning didn't he?
In Exodus 34:5-7
Exodus 34:5–7 ESV The Lord descended in the cloud and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the Lord. The Lord passed before him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, keeping steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and the children’s children, to the third and the fourth generation.”
This passage in Exodus teaches us about the nature of God.
That he is merciful and forgives sin.
And that he will by no means clear the guilty.
Lets look at this in contrast to or chapter in 1 John 8-10
Verses 8-10 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
God will punish those you are the non elect. The reprobate.
If you believe that men are born basically good and they only occasionally do bad things - That doctrine is from Hell and is the darkness that 1 John is speaking about.
Rather we must believe what God has declared about himself and what he will do.
God will punish all the guilty and reprobate.
But God is also merciful and gracious,
slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness,
keeping steadfast love for thousands,
forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin.
We can’t say that's not a very merciful thing of God to do.
We Can’t say that God made them that way?
No he didn't As by one man sin entered the world and death by sin so death passed upon all men.
That man was Adam and because of Adams sin we all deserve Hell.
It is only because God is gracious that we can walk in the light and be called the children of God.
Our second Point is
Point 2

2. People have a need for forgiveness

· How can we walk in the Light and have True Biblical Fellowship?
· How can we have fellowship one with another?
How can you walk in the Light with Christ
· To answer these questions and more, we must first learn
1. HOW YOU SHOULD NOT WALK IN DARKNESS verse 6
Verse 6 says If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
First, we must know what light is and not have some made up version of light in our minds.
Some believe that the light is whatever they enjoy in life.
Some believe that the light is a New Car.
Some believe the light can be found within themselves.
Some believe the light is living a good life and obeying Gods Commands in and through themselves.
Some believe the light is physical fitness and being the perfect specimen of the human race if that were even possible.
Some believe the light is having more knowledge than those around them.
Some believe that the light is how Reformed they believe themselves to be by checking off things on a list.
Do you believe in or trust in something other than Jesus Christ?
The text tells us that GOD IS LIGHT AND IN HIM IS NO DARKNESS AT ALL.
IF YOU ARE TRUSTING IN SOMETHING OTHER THAN CHRIST
MAYBE YOU ARE IN DARKNESS AND DO NOT KNOW HIM.
MAYBE YOU ARE LYING TO YOURSELF
MAYBE YOUR LYING TO OTHERS AND GOD ABOUT WHO YOU ARE.
Vs 6 says IF WE SAY THAT WE HAVE FELLOWSHIP WITH HIM AND WALK IN DARKNESS WE LIE AND DO NOT PRACTICE THE TRUTH.
So How can we have true Biblical Fellowship done in and through Christ?
How can we Walk in the Light of Christ?
· How can we HELP our brothers and sisters?
Good questions, right?
First we ought to walk in the light by treating other as Christ has commanded us to?
This is described in verse 7

3. HOW MUST YOU WALK IN THE LIGHT. Verse 7

Verse 7 says
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.
The light is the Ten Commandments which is a reflection of who Christ is and it is the perfect law of liberty he calls us to obey and enables us to obey.
Lets turn in our Bibles to Exodus 20:1-21 as a reminder to us Older believers and as instruction to both young and old.

And God spoke all these words, saying,

2 “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.

3 “You shall have no other gods before me.

4 “You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5 You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.

7 “You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.

8 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates. 11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

12 “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.

13 “You shall not murder.

14 “You shall not commit adultery.

15 “You shall not steal.

16 “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

17 “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male servant, or his female servant, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor’s.”

18 Now when all the people saw the thunder and the flashes of lightning and the sound of the trumpet and the mountain smoking, the people were afraid and trembled, and they stood far off 19 and said to Moses, “You speak to us, and we will listen; but do not let God speak to us, lest we die.” 20 Moses said to the people, “Do not fear, for God has come to test you, that the fear of him may be before you, that you may not sin.” 21 The people stood far off, while Moses drew near to the thick darkness where God was.

o This is not just any God in Exodus this is One God in three person Father Son and Holy Ghost. And 1 John is speaking about the Father and the Son.
But it is the Son who was manifested this is the Lord Jesus Christ of the Scriptures.
So in this passage, we find out that the light of Christ is Life.
And Christ is that light that 1 John speaks of us walking in.
If we are walking with Christ, this Light will be obvious to us and those around us.
In Bryan Chapell’s, Christ-Centered Preaching he says
The influence of a preacher’s testimony on the acceptance of a sermon requires that one’s life be under the rule of Scripture. With unblinking candor, John Wesley once explained to a struggling protégé why his ministry lacked power: “Your temper is uneven; you lack love for your neighbors. You grow angry too easily; your tongue is too sharp—thus, the people will not hear you.” Wesley’s honesty reflects Scripture’s admonition and challenges each of us to guard our character if we desire effectiveness with the Word.
· This quote may be speaking of a preacher but what does it say about you.
· Is your temper uneven Turn to Christ.
· Do you lack love for your neighbor Turn to Christ?
· Do you grow angry easily Turn to Christ
· Is your tongue too sharp Turn to Christ.
· IF WE AS GODS PEOPLE WANT TO HAVE TRUE BIBLICAL FELLOWSHIP and walk in the light of Christ our characters must reflect the character of Christ.
· WE CAN'T DO THIS IN AN OF OURSELVES. TURN TO CHRIST.
SO WHEN WE TURN TO CHRIST What DOES HE DO FOR US?
3. HOW CAN CHRIST ENABLE YOU TO HAVE TRUE BIBLICAL FELLOWSHIP and Walk in the light of Christ? Verse 7 says
Verse 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin
Nothing but the Blood of Jesus can cleanse you from Sin .
Christ had to die a painful death and spill his blood to redeem you.
The least a believer can do is care when he sins and repent when he or she sins.
He bled and died for you.
Psalm 133 speaks of the unity Christ calls you to with your brothers and sisters in Christ.
It says
· Psalm 133 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, That ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: That went down to the skirts of his garments; As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: For there the Lord commanded the blessing, Even life for evermore.
Brothers and Sisters we must dwell in unity with Christ and with each other.
You MUST OBEY HIS LAW
You must APPLY HIS LAW
YOU MUST LOVE HIS LAW
HIS LAW WILL ENABLE US WITH HIS SPIRIT TO REFLECT THE LORD JESUS IN OUR LIVES TO
OUR FAMILIES, OUR FRIENDS OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN CHRIST, AND UNBELIEVERS.
OUR LIFE SHOULD REFLECT HIS LAW IN WORKS AND IN FAITH
o JAMES 2:19-26 SHOWS US THIS IN THE FAITH of ABRAHAM AND RAHAB.
James 2:19-26 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac, his son on the altar? 22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works, faith was made perfect? And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God. 24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
So, our lives should reflect faith and works this is walking in the light of Christ
This is true Biblical Fellowship
Loving God and His law and our brothers and sisters and living our faith out as he has commanded us to.
WE CAN ONLY DO THIS IF CHRIST HAS CLEANSED US FROM SIN.
Point 3
What is the means of Forgiveness

4. HOW DOES JESUS CHRIST CLEANSE YOU FROM ALL SIN.

· CHRIST IS OUR PRIEST according to the WSC question 25 which teaches us about Christs priestly office.
It says WSC 25 How doth Christ execute the office of a priest? Christ executeth the office of a priest, in his once offering up of himself a sacrifice to satisfy divine justice, (Heb. 9:14,28) and reconcile us to God; (Heb. 2:17) and in making continual intercession for us. (Heb. 7:24–25)
· HE OFFERED HIMSELF UP FOR YOU
· HIS BLOOD WAS SPILT FOR YOU
· HE SATISFIED DIVINE JUSTICE THAT WAS DUE TO YOU.
· AND CHRIST RECONCILED US TO GOD.
· AND CHRIST CONTINUES TO MAKE CONTINUAL INTERCESSION FOR US.
· CHRIST ENABLES US TO WALK IN THE LIGHT.
· CHRIST ENABLES US TO HAVE TRUE BIBLICAL FELLOWSHIP WHICH IS SPOKEN OF IN 1 JOHN 1:5-7
· SO HOW SHOULD WE LIVE OUR LIVES IN LIGHT OF THIS KNOWLEDGE.
· WHAT CAN WE DO? WE CAN WALK IN CHRIST’S LIGHT
· EVERYTHING WE HAVE IS FROM HIM EVERYTHING WE HAVE IS BORROWED FROM GOD.
· WE SHOULD NOT WALK IN DARKNESS AND CLAIM TO BE WALKING IN THE LIGHT OF CHRIST.
· Be true to who you are.
· BROTHERS SISTERS HOW IS YOUR FELLOWSHIP WITH THE WORD OF GOD IS IT SOMETHING THAT IS SECONDARY IN YOUR LIVES?
· IF SO WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU WILL RUN THROUGH YOUR MIND?
So what gives us assurance of forgiveness?
Point 5

5. The Assurance of Forgiveness

300 Illustrations for Preachers (Newspaper Corrects Error from 1853)
Preaching Themes: Confession, Repentance Is it ever too late to admit a mistake? Evidently there is no statute of limitations for the New York Times. After the movie “12 Years a Slave” won the Academy Award for Best Picture in 2014, readers began researching the author and the original book from over 150 years ago. In the story about the author’s work published in the January 20, 1853 edition, the author’s name was misspelled. In the March 4, 2014 edition of the paper, they published a correction. As long as we are living, it is never too late to confess our sin before God. Just as we confess our sins, he will be faithful to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.—Jim L. Wilson and Rodger Russell
DO WE TRULY HAVE FELLOWSHIP WITH CHRIST?
· HOW IS YOUR FELLOWSHIP WITH OTHER BELIEVERS IS IT SUPERFICIAL AND SHALLOW OR IS IT DEEP AND RICH AND SWEET TO WHERE YOU ENJOY THEIR COMPANY TO THE POINT YOU DON’T WANT TO LEAVE THEIR HOMES or Church DURING FELLOWSHIP.
· IS YOUR FELLOWSHIP WITH the Lord JESUS and fellow BELIEVERS A JOY ON THE LORDS DAY OR JUST SOMETHING YOU DO IN YOUR LIST OF THINGS THAT YOU DO.
· ARE YOU IN DARKNESS OR ARE YOU IN THE LIGHT.
· ARE YOU DECEIVING YOURSELF AND THOSE AROUND YOU?
· ARE YOU LYING TO GOD?
· WE MUST STRIVE DAILY TO WALK IN THE LIGHT OF CHRIST SO THAT WE MAY HAVE TRUE FELLOWSHIP WITH EACH OTHER IN THE BODY OF CHRIST AND THAT WE MAY HAVE TRUE FELLOWSHIP WITH CHRIST WHO ENABLES US IN ALL THINGS.
· DO NOT BE THE JUDAS OF PSALM 41B that familiar friend who eats bread with the brothers and then lifts his heal and turns on you.
· BECAUSE IF YOU DO NOT HAVE FELLOWSHIP WITH CHRIST YOU HAVE NO HOPE AND YOU ARE HEADED TO HELL, AND YOUR FATHER IS THE DEVIL.
· CHRIST HOLDS US UP IN OUR INTEGRITY, AND OUR DWELLING PLACE IS WITH HIM.
· AND IF YOU PUT YOUR TRUST TODAY IN JESUS HE WILL AND HAS CLEANSED YOU FROM ALL SIN.
and verse 9 is true for you 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
But if we say we have not sinned then verse 10 resembles us.
Verse 10 If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
Rather turn to Christ who if you confess your sins is faithful and just to forgive you your sins and to cleanse you from all unrighteousness.
Let Us Pray
CLOSING PRAYER
Father I pray that those who have heard your call to walk in truth and in the light of Christ will turn to you.
And I pray that those of us who have been walking with you for many year will cling to you closer in their walk with you and the brethren.
Father I pray that we would have this deeper richer Fellowship with you through your Word and with each other In Christ name
Amen
Our Closing Psalm is psalm 100A
LET US RISE for the singing of Gods Word to sing
Psalm 100A
Let us Pray:
May the Lord be with you his people through out the week.
Give them a desire to talk about the Word of God we have read this afternoon and heard preached with their families.
And help them to share their faith and the gospel with their neighbors and invite those that are lost to the church.
Help them to walk in the Light of Christ and to tell others about the marvelous light and redemption found in Jesus Christ.
In Christ name Amen.
