- Walking in darkness defined-I John 2:9, 15-17- can result in
- Frustration in dealing with sin. Why? You’re in the dark!
- Denial of sin – 1:8, 1:10
- Walking in the light – defined- I John 1:17, 2:6 – results in
- Fellowship with one another – 1:7 – illustrate
- Purification from all sin -1:7. How? The blood of God’s Son, Jesus
- How can a Christian leave darkness and enter light? Confession I John 1:9
- Say same as God (without darkness) does
- Confess sins, not just one that annoys you
- Recognize God’s justice and faithfulness and accept forgiveness
- Accept and recognize purification from all unrighteousness
- Stay walking in the light
