The Scientific Method
What does it mean to fear God?
What does it mean to fear God?
This week I came to my knees and God revealed something
For some reason, I understood what was revealed, but did not know what it meant.... So didn't know what it really meant, and I believe a lot of us go through that.
I sought the L-rd and He answered me. I again repeat, I sought the L-rd and He answered me.
Wisdom in Creation
Wisdom in Creation
I love looking at objects and understanding its nature or what it does. Does it have use for me or not. There are endless possibilities while there is also none. In all, when something works well, we distinguish it as good and from there we can go into more descriptions of what from the good is the best. However, when something is not working right or falls out of place than it is not good. in other words it is bad, and must be thrown out of the good.
then He looked at it and assessed it
established it and examined it.
And He said to mankind,
‘The fear of the Lord
—that is wisdom,
and to turn away from evil
is understanding.’ ”
Boom! My mind was shattered. I became so dumbfounded at the Word spoken into my ears.
When I hear about creation, I think about God’s wonder, and I thought to myself… what is God’s wonder?
God’s Wonder
God’s Wonder
But the angel of Adonai said to him, “Why do you ask for my name? It is wonderful.”
God’s Wonder is found in this parsha Korach, but not in the way we expect it. Last week we went over this verse:
Adonai will fulfill His purpose for me.
Your lovingkindness, Adonai,
endures forever.
Do not abandon the work of Your hands.
And so it is in this that I began to see what God’s Wonder is...
While His Name is Wonderful, we immediatly know that what He does says who He is. If you make funriture, you are a carpentar, if you drive a car, you are a driver. Name’s really do identify a person and what they do. Then I look at Job again, and I read something significant...
“He looked at it, assessed it, established it, and examined it.
How many know the rules to creating a theory/fact, in other words, how many know the scientific method?
Here we have the Scientific Method, and as I read Job 13 I begin to realize the way in which things are put together by G-d. But again, the tricky part in this is that what G-d does is what He pleases.
While our Method is to test in order to prove something is right or good. God’s method to test is in order to make things right… (which is everything… that fears the L-rd).
Kohath, He assessed his own ability and considered himself and the community holy, but we see that when we measure ourselves, God always rules us out.
Just think about it… How do you become holy? As you keep trying to prove yourself right, you will constantly be made know as a theorist.
However, if you like Moses fall on your face in order for G-d to look at the situation, asses it, he will come up with a resolution, and He will see it through.
1. Observation: Look at it
1. Observation: Look at it
This is an easy one… Did you know God looked into nothingness and saw everything. While when we look into nothingness… we see nothing and reason whether we can see something
That it why it is important to.....
See what He Sees!
The fear of God begins at seeing what He sees!
The fear of God begins at seeing what He sees!
Not what you see… What He sees. Remember, be Job or his friends.... his friends looked at the situation as if Job had forsaken God, but Job held on to his faith. Korath and the people looked at themselves in the wilderness and not where God was leading them through Moses. Though Korath believed in God, he did not see what God had placed before him and so He couldn’t receive anything outside of what he was seeing.
2. Question: Assess it
2. Question: Assess it
When looking at an object, what do you see? what can it do or what can you do with it?
This is a huge one, because we have looked at something or nothing, but not we are assessing or asking questions about what could this something or nothing be and it it’s of any use. Israel being lead by God caused a great many things, but being lead by Egypt, a king, or president they saw an established identity. Can an object identify itself? If you create and object, can you tell it to identify itself? So removing God’s identification for His creation is the same as creation without identification. If someone took your creation and named it for themselves.... would you be happy? ( I don’t think so).
Asses with God’s Eyes - Where you see nothing, He Sees Everything!
Asses with God’s Eyes - Where you see nothing, He Sees Everything!
3. Hypothesis: Establishing an idea
3. Hypothesis: Establishing an idea
This might do this while God says… if this does a this then this is what will happen and if it does b then this is what will happen.
As we know, God was not happy with Korath, He was not happy with Israel, and He was not happy with Ananais and Sapphira.
Korath thought that he can determine something that God had already established. Israel came to the idea that… if we have another leader to send before us… we might enter into the promise/victory. Ananais thought perhaps though the Spirit of God established this idea, it might be better benefit ourselves rather than the community of Messiah.
On What Grounds Is Your Idea Established On?
On What Grounds Is Your Idea Established On?
This is very important, because your assessment generates or measures the level of error reflected in your analysis of the Hypothesis. A faulty assessment would prove, after the analysis, a bad conclusion. A faulty Hypotheses though on good grounds would need adjustments and would need again to follow through experimentation until it is finely tuned.
4. Experiment: Testing the Established idea
4. Experiment: Testing the Established idea
This is standing on a hypothesis that seems right, but must be tried to make sure it’s right (We are unsure of our established idea, but we assume it is good, when it may not be, and try it out anyway). While God says of His Established Idea, it is very good. He then allows the object to do what it is supposed to do.
How many of you like wind up toys? I know I think they are fun, and it is interesting to see how wind up toys themselves at times go on their own path. It’s funny to see how even more crazy it is when you have 10 wind up toys going altogether at once. However, what’s really significant is that almost all toys that have some kind of self-function.
The example I give is as I wind up this toy, I know that if I let it go on itself, because I wound it up, it will go in the direction its vibration and surroundings are causing it to go. However, If I kept it in my hand it would not go anywhere. It is necessary for God to test us in order to see whether or not God says of us… I am proud. While we are all made good, while He has saved us all and set us to be holy, we are all made as individuals serving a purpose that God has established in us individually and as a whole.
We Experiment, He Examines.
We Experiment, He Examines.
This is the cool part, because we are constantly testing in order to see where we have gone wrong or where could have gone better.
Just think about it.... How does experiment differ from Examine.
As said before, we experiment in order to come to the conclusion.
Think about the Akida (Binding of Issac), Abraham knew that G-d would resurrect His son, and although it seemed foolish to sacrifice his own son, because He feared G-d, G-d stopped Abraham from doing such a grave thing.
Abraham test in fear of G-d and G-d examining his heart whether to see the fear of G-d was in Him withheld his hand.
God doesn’t cause you to fall into sin, He basically makes whatever comes out of your own free will to come out (just like He did with Pharoah in Egypt).... He made you to have a desire, and you choose what you want. Will you fear G-d?
I applied my heart to seek and examine by wisdom all that is done under heaven. What a burdensome task God has given the sons of men to keep them occupied.
But You have known me, Adonai.
You see me,
and examine my heart toward You.
Drag them off like sheep for slaughter.
Set them apart for the day of carnage.
Search me, O God, and know my heart.
Examine me, and know
my anxious thoughts,
and see if there be any offensive way
within me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.
Examination is a turning point to Analysis:
Analysis: What has come about the Experiment/Examination
Analysis: What has come about the Experiment/Examination
As we see though our experiments which includes spirituality, religiousness and etc.... we keep on failing. We may feel sustained for a while, but just like this toy, we need another wind up or just keep falling off the edge.
Yes, when people do Yoga to find a balance or peace.... they fall off the edge, because they don’t look to G-d. instead, they look to the practices that were formed around other things not from the W-rd of God. Meditation in the Word is not the same as meditation that is formed by studies evolved from around us not from the Word of God. The information we take in is very important, because it is what drives us to conclusions that may be good or bad. While everything is permitted, not everything is helpful.
“Everything is permitted for me”—but not everything is helpful. “Everything is permitted for me”—but I will not be controlled by anything.
“Everything is permitted”—but not everything is helpful. “Everything is permitted”—but not everything builds up.
To me everything that I permit has to be from His very Word. God is holy, and so as He called us to be Holy, then we should be like Him. This is where Job stood, and knowing Job himself was not God, He feared God in such a way that kept him from saying anything against God. It is because of His heart set on God that he (Job) saw that God makes him righteous through His Salvation. It is clear that the Job saw that he would be vindicated and simply waited on God.
If not waiting on God and doing something in His Word.... then what are you doing? Obviously something that God told you not to do or something that God has not said to do. Therfore when you stand before God, His analysis on your life will blot you out of the book of life.
However, if you fear God and hold on to His Salvation (Yeshua). Than You will see that you will be just as God made you to be, and He will fulfill His purpose in you!
Are You What God Created You to Be?
Are You What God Created You to Be?
What do you have on you analysis, and what does God have concerning you? My hope is that which is written in Psalm 17:3
You have examined my heart.
You searched me at night.
Though You test me, You find nothing.
I resolved that my mouth will not sin.
It is better to Wait on The L-rd!
It is better to Wait on The L-rd!
Yes, Moses fell flat on His face, and His reaction was to call everyone before the L-rd, whereas Korach had called the community of Israel against Moses which was against what God had established… which caused him to literally be consumed into the earth. Ofcourse, we see again the lowly lifted up.
Conclusion:
Conclusion:
G-d is not a man to lie, and so He sent His Son Yeshua to be lifted up as Moses was. Yet, what was done through Yeshua was and is more than enough for us to know that if we believe in Yeshua that He resurrected from death in order that we might become righteous, then as Job saw. We are not like the nations of the land or the multitudes of the earth. We are not made the same way as the ground or sky, we were made in His Image. And to be made in His image means to see the way He sees things. However, we have become so blinded by our constant desires and discoveries that we set aside what God has done and enabled us to do. True is our King, and there is nothing beside Him! It is written in His Torah, and you shall know this day and take to your heart that He is God in the heavens above and on the earth below.... There is none other.
Is what is found in you today the fear of God? Have you taken into your heart Yeshua the Messiah - That He is God?
Samuel said to the people, “Fear not! Indeed you have done all this evil, yet do not turn aside from following Adonai, but worship Adonai with all your heart. Do not turn aside to go after empty things that cannot profit or deliver, for they are futile. For Adonai will not forsake His people for His great Name’s sake, because it has pleased Adonai to make you a people to Himself. Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against Adonai by ceasing to pray for you! Yet I will keep instructing you in the good and straight way. Only fear Adonai and worship Him in truth with all your heart, considering how magnificently He has dealt with you. But if you persist in acting wickedly, you will be swept away, both you and your king.”
Fear God is wisdom and Worshipping in Truth Him/Fleeing from Evil is Understanding
Fear God is wisdom and Worshipping in Truth Him/Fleeing from Evil is Understanding
Our conclusion must be to see what God sees and in this wonder after seeing the truth.... to Worship Him in Truth!
Yes the conclusion is simple.....
Be still in the L-rd and find new strength or act wickedly and be swept away
Be still in the L-rd and find new strength or act wickedly and be swept away
If you desire to find or are in need of new strength, and if you desire not to be swept away into wondering and ultimately death and separation from God pray with me today.
Yeshua, who can rise like you did? Because of You, we can. And it is only because of you. No godless can come before Him, and as You are with the Father, You are not just Godly, but you are perfect, yes, the perfect and wonderful God. Because Your Name is Perfect and Your Name is Wonderful, I know as I receive You in my life here and now saying… I believe in You Yeshua - that You, sent from God saved me by dying on the cross to remove all godlessness from my life - and I open my heart to receive You in my life for the first or as if it is the first time in my life. L-rd as I come before You in awe of what you have do, answer me with the truth of You Salvation so that I may be able to see You purpose accomplished through me… In all that I do!
AMEN!
