The gospel is not a blueprint to manufacture professional Christians; it is the plumb line of truth and grace that leads to true freedom and godly living. Galatians 1:1-5, 11-24
Galatians 1:11-24
The revelation of Jesus Christ is sufficient—any opinionated deviation from the Word of Truth is man’s gospel. Galatians 1:11-12
Man’s gospel is built on the foundation of felt need and short-sighted reasoning that never really addresses the heart of the problem.
When our lives are centered by the plumb line of the Gospel, people will glorify God because of our personal influence on their lives. Galatians 1:24
Man’s gospel, no matter how attractive it may look or no matter how much personal gain it might promise, ultimately brings its followers into slavery (The Gospel of Jesus Christ brings freedom). Galatians 2:4
3 Truths About the Gospel (2 Timothy 4:1-8)
The gospel does not morph to accommodate whatever lifestyle one chooses to adopt as cultural norms shift. 2 Timothy 4:3
Politics, religious traditions, nationalism, and often personal experiences, poison the Gospel. 2 Timothy 4:4
Those who are preserving the Gospel must be ready in season and out of season to communicate the truth of the Gospel even if it’s not the popular thing to do. 2 Timothy 4:2
