I have to confess to you and I honestly struggled whether or not I should or not, but Father's Day messages are probably the absolute hardest messages that that I preached.
If I could be sick one day a year.
This would be a There's there's personal reasons for that.
There's also But the conviction that I get, I'm not sure if it's from the Lord are not from from many in the church who come up to me and ask.
So are you going to be preaching at verging edifying, message for Father's, or you going to convicted step on their toes again?
And, and at least, well over 20 times, I was asked that this week.
Which was a struggle knowing where I was going in the scriptures.
And let me just be honest with you.
I never come to God's word.
And bring it to you.
With the intent of playing with emotions.
That's not why.
I preach, I never come to you with God's word with the intent.
To encourage your edify.
That's God's responsibility.
The conviction is the holy spirit's responsibility.
My responsibility is to bring you God's truth.
And a handle God's word in an accurate way and be faithful to declaring that.
Even when the message is difficult or one that I would rather just not preach.
It was very tempting to call the Elders up and say, you know, I can't make it in this morning.
I think I can get the sniffles or something.
Because, as I've laid out Genesis.
I I saw what was coming.
And I laid it out and I'm like that chapter landed on that Sunday.
And it's chapter 19, how many of you have read ahead and know where we're going this morning.

And as I've looked at this, I'm like, is this really the one that's Landing?
I didn't honestly, I should share on Father's Day.
Because there's many others that I would much rather preach.
And the overwhelming answer is I prayed on my knees, my face before God was Jed.
You need to preach this.
Cuz I have studied and read through this chapter over and over and over.
I realize that it is very, very applicable to us.
His father's.
And look on the bright side.
You only have to hear this for about 30 minutes.
I've been having to hear this over and over since January.
It is convicted my heart and my soul.
First and foremost.
It is also encouraged.
So whatever encouragement may come, I pray that God would bring that whatever conviction may, I pray the spirit would bring that?
This morning, I bring you God's truth and I titled this a little play on words for playing with fire.
Ever, since I was a child, I've been made with fire and truth.
Be told I've even enjoyed playing with it a little bit.
I remember the first time I went into a burning building in my fire academy.
Am I captain?
Was there beside me in?
And I saw the Flames is fire is mesmerizing.
And we watched it there and it danced on the walls in the ceiling.
Is very captivating?
Fire is is powerful.
I have sat on a hillside watching a forest fire.
Consume a Mountainside in a mere matter of minutes.
It is powerful and consuming.
Empire will burn as I recall the specific time and I was trying to decide which story to share a specific time in Florida and me and my friend, we were given the instruction by my parents to clean up some of the sticks in the yard, cut some branches, and all that.
We made a big pile, it's Florida.
You can do this.
It wasn't Colorado, but we made a big pile.
And we tried everything to start that pile on fire.
We shall firecrackers into his lid, off him, and he's everything.
I mean, we were having fun with this pile, but it was not starting like gasoline.
That'll do it.
We poured gasoline on it and then we're like they're okay, when I used a lighter.

I can throw in but we were so excited.

We lost our eyebrows.
There was here that used to be on our arms.
And and there was this horrible stench of burnt hair.
Thankfully nothing worse.

Fire can be fun.
But it's also very dangerous.
I've learned through the years to approach it cautiously with a regard for the danger that it holds.

Towards the world system that you and I live in.
Will see that World System, depicted and Sodom and Gomorrah.
