Good morning. Welcome again to Mount Olive Baptist Church. We greet your name by Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. And thank you for joining us again at messages from the mount, the Bible teaching and preaching expository preaching Ministry of the Mount Olive. Baptist Church just asked, if you would buy with me now for where the prayer, Heavenly Father, we thank you for today Lord. We thank you and ask that you would bless our time that you would use it to encourage my brothers and sisters and myself. We ask it in Jesus name, amen. Well Happy Father's Day to all those who are fathers and those who are father figures, we thank God for the privilege of being able to invest in it, and be an impact in the life of children, our children and children's children and for those kids who don't have a dad who is in their home. So we praise God for that Thursday, it became a holiday. First of all, back in 1910, on young lady, by the name of Sonora smart. She decided that she wanted to have an alternative celebration for fathers as opposed to a mother's. And so she started that whole process. And so finally it was acknowledged and embraced in the United States. Until today, we take the time out to honor. My father's father is a son's first to roll a daughter's first love, someone has said and we can we know that they're very, very, very important. Because when you start talking about fathers, you still talking about the way that the country goes, in fact, by virtue of the fact, the way of country goes then also, by the way that I world begins to go and so we acknowledge that fathers are significant, what I've noticed in our world in the last couple of days is that last couple years, in fact, is that there's been a marginalization not only a father, so to speak. But of men in particular, every since we have been ever since we've been having a war of the Sexes, we find that men have been. I've been pushed over to the corner and now and real respect I have become the new ball and chain lot of Miss Andrea going on in our world today lots of talk about toxic manhood if you will going on and not in our world and very very few shows that you watch. If you were a person, was an avid television washer you let you know that that they're very few shows that actually accentuate in a firm fatherhood and manhood in particular. Those shows that have man, who'd on them makes him to be a man on it and that seems to be one. Who is an alpha-male? That's the most toxic guy of all, of course, are those shows that scene to Champion those seem to make this individual nothing more than a neanderthal. But the reality is, that is that manhood is essential to how a nation is built. It is essential because we need it in terms of how I'll country grows up in fact, how children are raised how we begin to deal with those opposing forces. That may one day decide, they want to turn their focus on us, and it's those men who have to rise up. In fact, one guy said and Edwin Was Cole. He said that being a male is a matter of birth. But being a man is a matter of choice because we know that the first duty of May 1st job of manhood to make sure he takes care of his duty as responsibility again at this, this war of the Sexes, have done something and polarizing us and as his, we could have just famous famously said, there's the war of the Sexes will never have anyone is because there's too much fraternization between the enemy's. That's what that's what I like to do. Just for a few moments, if you will speak to the issue of maximized, man, who, now don't get me wrong, I'm not going to get psychological. I'm going to get it. Primarily what Biblical, what the Bible says about manhood, and particularly what it means for a man who is following, if you will after God, what happens to him, as result of that, and how the Bible defines, what? Means to be that maximize man. Now, the title was not original with me able to know his cold initially brought up the title by the name of maximize man. Who but I think that the scriptures address this a proposal with you will as relates to what it means. Now the first thing is that there are three help for Holy hints that of the texts gives us with regard to what it means to be that maximize man. First of all, the first thing is that a maximize man is known by his direction. That is that is a certain direction is going in. That is a certain path that he's taken. And that is that there's any born this path is wretched. It help to continue to affirm the type of man that he will one day become the text, says it this way. Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly. No standing in the way of Sinners, no sitting in the seat of the scornful. Want you to note here, that the first thing to text, does it bring it to our attention. The man that this dis maximized, man, first of all, he is indeed a blessed man. He is a blessed man. He is a man that God speaks well of her. He's a man that God speaks well, because of what he's not associated with. He's not associated in Walking in the counsel of the ungodly. Now, if by chance, we mean the wisdom, the wisdom of the. And now we see a lot this week from today on street corners with your lot of this wisdom today and locker rooms. We see a lot of this wisdom today and places that teach men to be and to do things are men that they should not become. There's a certain way that you treat a woman. There's a certain way that you treat children. There's a certain way that you handle your responsibilities and some of these Street Corner preacher has. If you will will begin to indoctrinate young men as the way that they should not go but the text messages know that that blessed man, watch this. That maximize Man does not walk in the counsel of the ungodly, the word walk halak in the original. It has to deal with an individual, having a lifestyle that's dominated. Watch this, that, that, that the saturated, if you will, who, who made himself at home, living a lifestyle of sitting, in the counseling, wisdom of those individuals who do not know the Lord. But that maximize man, on the other hand, he is one that does not, he's not he's not one that sits walks in the council, The Galley. But this is another thing him. He's that one that stand in the way of Sinners attention here that the path and direction that senators are on. He's not trying to stand in the way of impede that nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. Now now the understanding his back in this time, is that those individuals? Who are in positions of leadership. It meant that what happened was they had a place of authority and it having that place of authority that a person. What they did was is that they were able to contribute to the communication that was going on here. What the song is says, here is this person who sit if it suggests that they have become comfortable, that's what it suggests here. They become comfortable, and they become comfortable, if you will. At poking. At those individuals, will God Is So says, who sitteth in the seat was going to be another words they sit and such a place that they point out what's wrong with being a godly man. Can I help you out for a moment? Where is a? Just imagine you have some people who believe that for a man to follow after God means that he's a wimp or what it means that he's got, no, he has no backbone. But in reality, we know, it takes all of your manhood and order for you to follow God because you going against the grand you going. You going to get cultural norms in order for you to assume the role that God has designed for you to be. So what he says, he brings this out. He says he's in the seat of the scornful. In other words, the Yankees individual who has chosen not to believe, got points out that you that you believe in the Flying? Spaghetti Monster, did you believe in the grand Santa Claus in the sky if you will. But again, it's the Bible says that the Earth is a fool and said his heart that there is no God, he has done great in the body works in those great, works. It's the first thing he has done. Is he has not believed in the only one that can save him. You're the Bible brakes. While changing that is without faith. It is impossible to please God. For he, that cometh to God must believe that he is and his reward of them that diligently seek Him and sold the blessed, man. Watch this, the maximize man is blessed of God known by now, but not walking in the not, not sitting on the counsel of the ungodly. Standing in the way of the center on sitting in the seat of the storm, but also he has a contrast it because he's also known not only for its direction, but it's also known for his Delight is it? But his Delight watch. That is in the law of the Lord in his law, doth. He meditate day and night. In other words, what he says is, is that the Delight of the of the maximize is to be in, in, under the word of God, that is the word of God is his Delight. That is the word of God is a thing that he wakes up to. That is a word of God directions in the way he should go with. That, is the word of God is something that he's embracing, even though it may be a bitter pill right now, he knows it'll be a better life later on down the line. That is this man right here. This, this maximize man has made the law of God, his the love of his life and the text messages know is because it says it in his law, doth he meditate day. And night, no day, or night has to do with a figure of speech. We say a merism, if you will front such as from Pillar To Post from a Pulpit to the door from from east to west, what it means actually is everything in between. So what happens is, is that the word of God, it sucks to him and that that he loves it day and night and everything in between that. Of time, that's what he brings that out here. He says that he he loves it day and night and watch this. And because of this, he shall be like a tree that's planted by the rivers of water. That bringeth forth his fruit and season, his Leaf also shall not wither. And what's what he do? Shall prosper. Watch this the first time that we've seen this because in Joshua 1:8, when God is talking to Joshua. He's letting him know. Yes, I know Moses have died, but nothing of God has died. Come on. Talk to me. Somebody There Was X Change. Even though god of the man of God may not be on the scene, that doesn't mean that God's plan is still not to be in force, but he says this to Jackie says, but up the law is that this book of the law shall not depart out of my mouth, but Thou shalt meditate there in day and night and that was that down mayest. Observe observe me to do to do according all. That is written therein for then watched as you shall make that way prosperous. And then Thou shalt have good success is the only scripture that really talks about the idea of you having success because you have been obedient to the word of God. That's all he brings this out of here. Watching the maximize man is known for his Direction. Watch that but he's also known for his Delight. His Delight is the law of God. So the day we would trans translate that to God's word today. So here's the question gentleman, what is the thing that calls the shots in your life? Is it convenience? Is it is it? Is it my boys, my my dogs, my cousin's if you will is it is it is it Family Folk who don't have the same convictions that the word of God dictates and calls the shots in your life. Because if it, if it isn't the word of God, that is not what you can be as a maximize man. And let me say this again and it takes all of your manhood to be a maximize man for God. And so he brings this out. He says he says he brings he talks about, then the fruit and the root of his life. You say, see somebody who is successful consistently. When you see someone who is who, who is repeating the same thing over and over again and doing excellent exit, just that they have been on it. Did they have a reservoir that's been feeding them? Watch this. So, that what you're seeing is a manifestation of the root even though you see the fruit independent, and it's not just that, but it means that that person has spent a lifestyle. It's a lifestyle that they have and not just a Sprint. So it goes on here. He says, The Maximus man is known for its directions known for his life but he also he's known for his Destiny. Somebody said you saw or thought, you're even at showing at the Habit you saw a habit, you read a character you so what character, you reap a Destiny and I said it. I said, I said it off and I'll say it again, the Apostle Paul said it first, but I usually say that you showed me your friends, I'll show you your future, you show me the folk that you're hanging around consistently, those individuals that are important to you gentlemen and I will show you where you headed but not on that. Paul said this way. He says do not be deceived. He said Bad Company, corrupts good morals. And other words you can't hang around bad for consistently and not allow some of that the rub off on you. But guess what, guess what if you were hanging around the word of God in you hanging around men of God? What happens if you are going to be influenced by those men at some point? He says that the ungodly are not so that the text says it this way when it brings out. He talked about the ungodly, he's talking about those just like the score and it continues to digress. The individual, who is I, centered of the individual, who is a scorner, the individual, who is ungodly and some chase. You see where it says the wicked and what is bring it out here is that this individual's Destiny is being manifested all the way throughout this particular text, and it's also bring it to my attention, is that there's a constant Evolution, watch this, and the character, and in the direction that this individual has, who calls himself a man, if you will, only goes on. He says, I like the chap with the wind driveway. The other words, they don't have any substance to them. They don't have really rude to them and they don't have any foundation to them and so they don't have an anchor to them so that when stuff happens if they're just going willy-nilly each and every kind of way. I don't know about you but one of the most dangerous men to me a men who haven't made up their mind on anyting. And the first thing that comes they they go in that direction. Somebody say, you got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything. It comes a point in time where you need to make up your mind that I'm going to be the man that God intended me to be, you know, an inn or what. And in the best way to do that is to just keep opening up God's word. Just something about God's word that will continue to tell you the direction that you need to go in here is something about God's word that a few can you continue to abide and it that it leaves you in the direction that you need to go in. Somebody said this about women is it staying true to your calling to be a man? Real women will always be relieved and grateful when men are willing to be men. You know, there's a study that was just taking some about 23 years ago in the Atlantic magazine magazine in it. And it said that young lady is, it got to the point that they didn't want to date men, that that was 35 or around there at 8 because they, there was something about them that, that, that, that that had not stabilized. If you will that they'd rather have dated older men, because it seemed like these men at least know how to change the tire. In other words, these men had had had some characteristics that are known to be found in Who real men are what they think that the tax breaks to our attention. That one of the things that real men and maximize man who it is, is having a relationship with God. You know your relationship with God will Define who you are, it will give you some energy to make those decisions. Do stuff with this challenging, it's very, very challenging, but nonetheless, he lets us know. They said the ungodly, not so, but I like the chair with the Wind Drive Away. That was the conclusion to this. Simply this. But based, on the fact that these, there's these two directions, there's one to be in Godley and this one to be an ungodly, this one too big on a firmer and there's one to being a scorner this one to being righteous, and there's 12 being Wicked. And So based on that, the psalm is write these words here. He says, it's just 149, were there for the ungodly? Shall not stand in the Judgment no centers. In the congregation of the righteous. The idea is, is that because this individual has led a lifestyle this antithetical to following after God that what's going to happen with this individual, that when the day comes of judgment, watch this and everyone will have, will let me turn the train with me to to 1st Corinthians chapter. 1st Corinthians chapter 3. But let's do it. This way is turn the 2nd Corinthians, 5:10 say Corinthians 5:10 and it's a relationship to those who I believe. It's the first thing he says here. He says insect with Ian 5:10 he says for, we must all appear before the Judgment seat of Christ and everyone maybe see the things done his body. According to that, he have done whether it be good or bad, he bringing that to my attention straight off. That that there's a responsibility for all believers to stand before God and give an account for the life that they lived. But also when we get to the new, the New Testament, particularly in the Book of Revelation it, let me know. Also, the individuals will stand before God, and when they stand before, God, it lets us know that those individuals who stand before, God who know the Lord. Those individuals will be saved. That's the thing that he brings out. Also going on chapter and verse 6 of chapter 1 of The Book of Psalms. He says, for the Lord, knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly Shall Perish. So, we know for sure, that the way of the ungodly person, they won't make it the way of the ungodly, man. They will not make it. They will not make it into heaven. Now. What's Iggy? Will you choose today to be? That Godly Man. That man who will follow after Christ and the maximize everything that God has placed in you, you don't want to things. I learned I used to be a photographer for a while amateur photographer. The first camera I got was what they call a twin lens reflex. It was a camera that had to to members ended up leaving this to lenses and and in the mirror what it what happened was, you could take the picture but you could not see through the lens, you could only see through the mirror, you can see the exact focused and so, I did everything. I could, I learned everything I could about it. I need someone bought me an icon. Base model. And as I begin to work with that particular model, the thing that I learned about that particular model, was it? If it the more I delved into the manufacturer's directions, to the more I maximize that everything about that camera until I was able to use it to is Optimum. So probably like I said, would I like to say to you today? Is that? God has already written the man, you were on you and I and he knows that if we just apply the directions that we become all that, we need to be You say, why is that? Because God is Not designed us to not be the people that he wants to be. He's designed it to be conformed to the image of his son. And once we have conformed, to the image of his son will be everything that he intends us to be. The Bible, says it this way for whom he did for know. He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his son and then that he has begun a good work in the show continued to perform until the day of Jesus Christ. So we know that God has an ultimate purpose for us. Not only for us to introduce as many people as many men and women to Jesus Christ as we possibly can. But also to become that man that God wants us to be in the first part of that is knowing him. And so my question to you today is will, you know, him will you choose to know the Lord Jesus Christ as your lord and savior? Today, will you choose that amongst all of the voices to come company of voices that are out there? The news people. Did that. The sports people? The entertainment people, will you choose to embrace Christ for yourself? And simply say it just wait. Lord Jesus, I am a sinner. Forgive me my sin, come into my heart. Take with my life and make me depressed. You want me to be the Bible says you could do that, guess what? You will be born again, your life will change. Because he says it's at Corinthians 5:17. He says it. Simply says, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature, old things are passed away, behold. All things have become new. God will give you an opportunity start over again. and you become that person, he wants you to be Father, we thank you. We thank you Father for not leaving this to ourselves. We thank you, Father, for fixing it so that we can become better men and buy that father. Glorify you Father, we thank you, Lord, because we've been come better men will be better. Fathers. Other better Brothers better Sons better citizens, because we have embraced your truth and your wife and righteousness and more importantly, your son We ask this in the matchless name of Jesus. Amen.
