Giving sight to the blind.
Lame walking
Passing out bread and fish that was multiplied

Multiply: Disciples Making Disciples Chapter 2: The Command to Make Disciples

All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.

Try to place yourself in the disciples shoes as they witnessed these things and heard these words from Jesus. How do you think you would have reacted?
What comes to mind when you think about Jesus command to make disciples of all nations?
Some say this command is only for pastors or missionaries.
But as we read the New Testament the message of Jesus exploded.
Some people moved to different areas so they could tell more people.
Teaching everyone to believe and obey everything Jesus commanded. Baptizing people.
Why is it that we see little disciple making take place in all the churches today?
Our world and our culture change but the commands of God never change.
Some churches have created a culture where only the ministers do the “ministry”
The rest of us show up, put money in the plate and get inspired “fed”.
We have moved so far away from Jesus Command of making disciples that we don’t have a frame of what it looks.
This should challenge us today. Challenge us in a way that we want to be obedient because we love Jesus.
So what does disciple making look like?
Some churches have focused on programs
Influencers: Sign up, participate for a few months then cross off the Great Commission class.
Making Disciples is the mission for our lives. It defines us.
Someone is going to take my job being a Youth Pastor. I have to train someone up that desires to make Disciples.
A disciple is a disciple maker.
What does that look like?
LETS REREAD Matthew 28:18-20
There is 3 phrase that describe what disciple making entails.
1. GO
2. BAPTIZE PEOPLE
3. TEACHING THEM TO OBEY EVERYTHING JESUS COMMANDED
You don’t need a degree or be a pastor.
a. It is as simple as going to people, encouraging them to follow Jesus. (Baptism)
b. Teaching them to obey Jesus’s commands (Which is in the Bible)
He promises for His Grace and Presence to be with you.
Simple, but the simplest things can be the hardest to put into practice.
Lets talk about Baptism for example:
Baptism might not seem like a big deal in church. (Why Christians haven’t been water baptized)
But in Biblical Time Baptism was huge!
Baptism was an unmistakable act that marked a person as a follower of Jesus Christ.
If your not going to follow Jesus Don’t get water Baptized.
