Helping the Fallen

Before we break this down we need to know that anyone of us at any given time are susceptible to falling.
Adjectives are open to; vulnerable to; capable of; receptive to!
So what am I trying to say is that we all have to be on our guard and aware that “the devil roams around like a lion looking for someone to devour!” 1 Peter 5:8

Keep a cool head. Stay alert. The Devil is poised to pounce, and would like nothing better than to catch you napping. Keep your guard up. You’re not the only ones plunged into these hard times. It’s the same with Christians all over the world. So keep a firm grip on the faith

We are warned and told in the scriptures to be on our guard and prepared for the attack of the enemy.
Ephesians in 6:10-18 to get ready get ready to take a stand against the devil and his schemes and wiles! Because it is not about if it happens, but when it happens!
Galatians 6:1 ESV
Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted.
This verse asks us to help others and to be watchful for those who are caught (overtaken)!

Live creatively, friends. If someone falls into sin, forgivingly restore him, saving your critical comments for yourself. You might be needing forgiveness before the day’s out.

They need to be restored(like the reseting of a bone, like the mending of a net)
We are to do it with gentleness (doing it compassionately with loving care), not with now look at what you did you stupid idiot.
Who is to help to restore the fallen?
Those who are spiritually mature, that spend time growing and equipped maturing in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
That is not a new believer who has just overcome their fallenness!
John 11:44 ESV
The man who had died came out, his hands and feet bound with linen strips, and his face wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Unbind him, and let him go.”
When we see Lazarus bound in his grave clothes Jesus call for others to help over his stronghold.
Galatians 6:2 ESV
Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
Galatians 5:14 ESV
For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
John 15:12 ESV
“This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
Love is an action word that denotes kindness and compassion without judgement
Galatians 6:3–5 ESV
For if anyone thinks he is something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. But let each one test his own work, and then his reason to boast will be in himself alone and not in his neighbor. For each will have to bear his own load.

Make a careful exploration of who you are and the work you have been given, and then sink yourself into that. Don’t be impressed with yourself. Don’t compare yourself with others. Each of you must take responsibility for doing the creative best you can with your own life.

Be sober minded, humble as to not think so highly of yourself. Least you fall.
Do a self assessment in other words examine your motives and your behavior.
Bare your load and don’t hand it off to another, but be wiling to help and assist in carrying the load.
Philippians 2:3–4 ESV
Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.
Galatians 6:6–10 ESV
Let the one who is taught the word share all good things with the one who teaches. Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.
vs.6 Help share the load of your leadership!
vs.7 Be aware of what is going on around you, know what you believe and why you believe it.
vs.8 You will reap what you so, so if you sow into the flesh, you will reap the flesh.
But if you sow into the Spirit you will reap a harvest of everlasting life.
vs.9-10 We all get tired of doing good and not seeing a return, would you agree?

So let’s not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don’t give up, or quit. Right now, therefore, every time we get the chance, let us work for the benefit of all, starting with the people closest to us in the community of faith.

But we are asked to not grow weary in well doing but to stay the course.
Refuse to become discouraged!
Determine to keep your faith alive and active!
Give and keep giving, love and keep on loving. The Harvest is guaranteed!
Luke 6:38 ESV
give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”
James 3:14 ESV
But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth.
Romans 3:8 ESV
And why not do evil that good may come?—as some people slanderously charge us with saying. Their condemnation is just.
