JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD AND SAVIOR MADE THIS IMPORTANT STATEMENT TO HIS DISCIPLES IN JOHN 14:1
““Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.”
John 14:1 NKJV
In our day to day lives sometimes we are troubled by situations and scenarios. The disciples faced a similar situation.
Jesus the one who calmed raging seas said to them “Let not your heart be troubled”.
Jesus offered a pathway; He encourages a belief in the father and in him the son.
THIS IS TRUE TO US TODAY. JESUS COMPLETED THE WORK AT THE CROSS. AT THE CROSS JESUS SAID IT IS FINISHED.
having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.”
Colossians 2:14 NKJV
What is the significance of the cross?
THE ONE WHO HAS CANCELLED ALL THAT WAS AGAINST US WANTS TO BE A FRIEND.
“Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.”
John 15:13-15 NKJV
WHAT SORT OF FRIEND IS JESUS?
1. He is a friend who sticks close by.
“A man who has friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.”
Proverbs 18:24 NKJV
His promise is always - I will be with you always.
“teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.”
Matthew 28:20 NKJV
The immediate receivers of the promise “I will be with you always” were the disciples. Jesus was with them throughout in their highs and in their lows.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.”
Psalms 23:4 NKJV
6. He is a friend who helps us to be.
“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.”
