If we as believers could simply carry the idea that we don't need to fix people, we just need to introduce them to Jesus, we could fulfill the Great Commission sooner.

In this passage, we will see the very first disciples who followed Christ, but their journey looks a bit different then what we might think.
John, Andrew, Simon, Philip, and Nathanael are the first to follow Jesus. They had been prepared by the preaching of John The Baptist, and all five of them later became apostles, which in Greek simply means “a person who is sent”.
But, before they were sent out into the world to fulfill the grand calling which God had given them, they went back home, and they worked their regular occupations for another full year. We know from Matthew 10 that about 1 year later, they were called to follow Christ continuously.
Personal Story: Explain how I knew I had been saved, and then called to be an evangelist, but my journey of doing ministry did not begin on stages the very next week, it started in the field of a farm in the sweltering heat day after day, year after year. God had called me, but it wasn’t yet my time. Maybe many of you feel this same way too, you feel like God has called you, and wants to use you, and you feel passionate about seeing lost people be found, it consumes you and keeps you awake at night like it does me. Don’t lose heart. The journey is only beginning.
